Rootzy got a reaction from Deactivated Member in How to get beefier engine sound for police charger (or any vehicle!)
    Hi everyone,

Most people probably know how to do this, but I thought I would share anyway. I wanted to make the police2 and FBI charger sounds a bit more beefier and there aren't any sound mods really. So what I did was changed the engine sound to the one the Imponte Nightshade uses. I know the cars are quite different but the engine sounds a little more cooler now :)

If you are unsure how to do this, here's how:

    Go to mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5,
then open "vehicles.meta" and find the vehicle you want to change the sound on.
Then find "<audioNameHash/>" and change it to <audioNameHash>NIGHTSHADE</audioNameHash>,
    then your done!
Obviously, where I put "NIGHTSHADE", you can replace it with the name of any car you like the sound of. The dominator sound is a little too beefy in my opinion.

And yes, the police dodge charger might not sound beefy in real life too, but I just wanted something less dull.
You can also do this with any other vehicle and it shouldn't mess with the siren sounds, however, will also change the door closing sounds. It's the same for addon vehicles too.

Go into the vehicles.meta file located at 'Update/Update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5', find the model under modelname, for example '<modelName>police3</modelName>'.
Then scroll further down in the handling line to handling ID, for example '<handlingId>police3</handlingId>', in the <handling> change the vehicle name to 'BALLER'. Should fix the issue.

Well that's because it used the same siren. Carvariations only controls the actual lights.

Hey, Maybe for the shots fired callout, you could have it saying "ShotSpotter: Shots fired". ShotSpotter is a shot spotting program that some cities use to track gunshots.
Then when you arrive on scene maybe question some witnesses nearby and search for weapons, Or find a gunfight going on.

Good Luck, sounds like a cool plugin idea!

I haven't tried bicycle patrol yet, its probably about as fun as riding a broken shopping trolley down a hill covered in glass.

I use a lot of call-out mods. I don't respond to a lot of them though,
I try to just patrol around calmly and look for suspicious people, walking down alley ways, ect.

I have GTA V comes alive and traffic policer of course. I edited some files so that there are no blips on my map anymore.
I actually have to look for reckless drivers and speeders.

Occasionally I do bait car stings, those are fun and set a different tone in the game.

That's pretty equally matched, I'd say.
Though I must admit, a lot of mods are more CPU bound than graphics-bound, and with my experiences with my i5, the most hopeful thing to upgrade to is like, any i7 at all really. The hyperthreading will help out in GTA.

Hello All! My Name Is President Shadow or Shadow for short.  I am currently learning how to code and I am wanting to make a callout mod.  At first, it will be very simple but I hope to make it exciting and advanced down the road.  I'm not sure what callouts exactly I'll have, but if you have any suggestions, leave them down below.

    UPDATE: 4-3-2017
I currently have a  file in the game that will act as a basis.  It is not an LSPDFR Plugin but a normal Rage one with texts and notifications planned to be used.  It is not much but definitely a step in the right direction

    UPDATE: 4-4-17
I currently made a plugin that works with RPH, not an LSPDFR enabled one,  bu tit is one where it spawns a ped and car, lets ped get into the car and drive to the player, where the ped then gets out with a pistol and attacks the player.  Not much but a good step in the right direction.

    UPDATE: 4-6-17
I currently have a beta plugin being tested, once it's given the okay, it will be released.  If you want a chance to beta test any future updates, please type Beta Test and I will choose 1 or 2 people to test it.

    UPDATE: 4-25-17
I currently am holding off on the Paparazzi call, if you want to help me develop the call, pm me.  I will begin to work on a new callout soon.
    Callout Ideas
Officer/Guard Assistance Problem with Paparazzi being too annoying - Worked On - Super Buggy - Put On Hold Good O'l Shots Fired (With a twist maybe?) Assist Fire Department Traffic Enforcement/Block Roads Stolen Vehicle - Done Suicidal Male Vehicle Crash, Male Down The Road Trespasser Execute Search Warrants - In Progress Blocked Roads/Assist Public Companies Officer Ambush Rogue Soldiers - In Progress Provide Security at Event Silent Alarm Activated/Robbery I'll Add More If I Think Not sure how hard this will be or when I'll even have time to work on this but it will get done eventually.

Any suggestions for anything about the plugin, please let me know down below.

I'm sorry, you're right. Wasn't paying attention, but yeah, that's the one I mean.
In my opinion it works fine, but that's a matter of personal preference.

What I'm doing is actually bringing some realism in the game. Pro-active policework. I'm running some vehicle plates, pulling some persons over that I think are suspicious. A great addition to that is the 'Bring GTA to life' mod. There's a lot of things happening in the streets that you have to pay attention to.
LSPDFR won't ever get realistic, the rush of being on duty in real life is just way different. I'm trying to get the best out of it, and variations come by using imagination and updating your callouts and plugins!

Now that is most certainly odd.

It changes with pretty much every car, one can be 1, the other could be 13 etc etc.

Also, as a note for OP, ELS vehicles do not use carvariations, if you run them or want to.

For future reference with addon cars - In the vehicles.meta, if you want the car to be law enforcement, always add "FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE"  to the <flags> section if they aren't already in the meta line. In the carvariations, make sure sirensetting is set to at least 1.

It's possible that some of your script/LSPDFR plugins are doing too much on the CPU per frame or just too much in general.
I can't replicate this behavior on a vanilla LSPDFR install.

When using this the acceleration feels much like a controller. Also adds realism.

It does get annoying sometimes, but I personally much prefer hearing the sirens going while I'm running on foot behind someone.  I love the realism. :P

The sirens do mute, if you turn them off first.  The reason sirens stay on by default is to help with the realism.  In real life, if cops are chasing a suspect in a vehicle and he foot bails, they won't have time to turn off their siren. They need to be on his ass.

I'm not sure if there's a way to change this with ELS.
