So I'm trying to make the firefighters spawn without SCBA gear, but with helmet but for some reason I can't get it to work. I tried the LSPDFR backup text thingy for it (task="1", prop_head="1") but it still spawned them with SCBA and without helmet.

Is there something I missed, are the commands different or is it currently simply not possible to begin with?

It would be comp_task, not just task.

It may actually be comp_tasks... don't quite recall.

EDIT: it wasn't comp_accs="1", comp_tasks="1" or comp_task="1". Not sure what it is, might look into it tomorrow when I'm properly awake. Have yet to start looking into the helmets.

To get by this, I actually had to create a new fireman ped entry and removed the SCBA gear from the model.

So.... apparently I never actually implemented reading in those values and doing something with them. Was quick enough to re-use the code from custom backup, I just neglected to actually connect all the bits internally. Currently testing it out, will send you a PM individually with a beta download once I get it working. Sorry for that!

EDIT: Sent out a beta fix to all three of you. I included an example line of what the XML would look like for that.

Hmm... So I updated BetterEMS today, along with everything else I run, and updated to RPH 0.45. Now BetterEMS tells me I have the wrong parkstools dependency. Any thoughts on why? Is it because of .45?

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MODS..THEY'RE CALLED READMEs   AKA read me for a reason

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

It uses the bank as the fire station and a warehouse in the city as the medical center. My goal was to have EMS on both ends of the North Yankton map.

Did you replace the file located in the GTAV directory that PNWParksFan provides with each update?
