LSPDFR 0.3 - Now Released

Given the popularity of GTA Online, no, not really. The modding community isn't as big as some people think, most people still play the game the way it was originally intended.

Vanilla gets old fast if you don't play story mode.  I don't care much for the scripted nature of single player.  Online sucks too because it isn't as immersive as single player wither.  Less AI, less traffic, less peds.......doesn't feel as realistic when you have empty streets in LA.  I've been to LA.  Come on!

    When it's done™

  • That stream chat was atrocious. Some people have no respect for the work and time that goes into creating a free mod like this. Absolutely amazing job guys. LSPDFR is better than ever.

  • True. Gtaforums are full of threads about singleplayer updates\DLCs and other speculations. Rockstars know that, but they make easy cash with Online, so it's all about money, and they will not support

Without the community there would be no rockstar either.  Without the modding community GTAV would much more quickly move to oblivion as well.

not really

If it weren't for the lspdfr community, Myself personally, would not have bought the GTA V for the computer. I have been playing it since day one on Xbox 360, and then on Xbox One, the vanilla game has gotten old. The point I was trying to make, is Rockstar is greedy, and tries to make it so we can't do anything to the game. I understand from a business stand point why they are, the way they are. But on a personal level, I enjoy modding. I have bought plenty shark cards, and paid for three copies of there game. I do not want to give them any more money.

I think that everyone in this community is playing GTA V on PC for the modding itself, and less for the story of the game. Their larger audience is most likely "vanilla" gamers. Just a feeling.

This is somewhat how I felt, too.  I bought a brand new computer system in September 2015 and bought GTAV a few weeks prior, not fully having enjoyed GTAIV nor LCPDFR due to my last system (built in early 2007) not being able to "awesomly" play GTAIV because of the terrible porting job.

I really don't buy games anymore.  GTAV was the last game that I bought in quite a few years.  I mean I can't really remember the last time I bought a game.  Heck, my PC was almost 8 years old at the time when I finally upgraded from a system running Windows XP!

I am also primarily a PC gamer.  Never had much interest in consoles.  My first and last gaming console was a Nintendo 64 that I got in 1997.  I much preferred keyboard and mouse.  Also the ability to swap between web browsing and game playing on the same system.  I absolutely must have a desktop computer.

If gtaIV has GtaV graphics (not a stupid glichty buggy enb, i mean all the graphics) , lspdfr would have much less players than lcpdfr. Because lcpdfr still have more features and submods.

story mode in gtaV is, to be honest, fucking boring and feels empty. and i personally hate the whole story. i don't like how the story does not take itself a bit seriously. goodby VCS and IV-times with good stories. :/

the only reason why i have played gta Online is deathmatch with random people, i ignored the chat all the time and deactivated the voice chat. That's it. Rockstar should repair the SP. the only thing they do is adding senseless stuff to sell that stupid shark cardes. its sad what gta become... very sad.

All online games these days are all about cash and being a cash cow.  I'll never spend money on a game I already spent money for.  But it's a shame, instead of using skill and experience to build your character and get bonuses and powerups, some stupid senseless kid with no respect for money will just blow it on his gaming experience for useless digital crap that he can't take with him in real life.

Unfortunately this is the way of the world, look at every digital industry now. I remember being able to buy Adobe Suite for a flat price, now you need to pay monthly (£45+).  Being realistic about the future of gaming, I think we all know nothing is going to change.  It will just keep getting worse and worse as more kids buy into the hype and digital currencies.

I miss the 90's, I miss the GTA's that focused on the story and didn't even have Online.

Well that's because Online gameplay wasn't even a thing then. The times, they are changing so to speak. One can't expect business to stay the same all the time.

I don't expect it to stay the same, I didn't expect it to impact the industry the way it has.

That's what I'm saying.  I miss online games where online was all about playing against other REAL people instead of the boring scripted unintelligent AI, and not about who has the least amount of brain matter and wanted to spend his life savings on fake money for in game content.  Sickening and vomit inducing!  PS, I grew up on GTA.  I remember about 1997 when GTA1 was released for PC (I have always been a PC gamer, was never a fan of the consoles besides my one and only N64!)  I was 8 years old when GTA1 released for PC.  Can you believe that GTA1 actually released for PC FIRST and wasn't available for PlayStation until 1998!?!?!?!?!?  It doesn't work that way anymore.  PC gamers get the SHAFT most of the time!

Love the update but some things are still missing like it would be cool if you could make a subject sit down when being arrested or detained like in Real Life also that would be cool if you could search them like in LCPDFR (GTA IV) but other than that love the mod

that's because gta v is based in los angeles and they don't take themselves serious its a pretty whacky place with a lot of stupid laws on top of that rockstar's  exaggeration of characters, gta v story is far better then iv...I felt that a lot of the characters in iv looked very similar to niko not to mention the lack of stuff to do outside of the story and niko didn't feel like a criminal

I really hope a new version is in development, I don't like going on foot and having to type in people's names on the keyboard when I am not in the squad car it doesn't make any sense I wish this was addressed in the current version

One question, Is it normally that the Code 3 or pursuit cop cars slowly moved to call or responce? When i press assist or code 3 or more cop cars. They drive very slowly. And not really responce. Only the choppers and the bikes are move it. Is there maybe a fix or something else :3?

There might be, but I can't even imagine on what they're working right now as the mod is fine as it is (apart from a few minor issues like you mentioned). To think of it, in 0.3 we have much of what was in LCPDFR 1.0!
