Patriot G2 Series 8GB RAM sticks

Radeon HD 7870

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

CM Storm Enforcer - Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 Ports (SGC-1000-KWN1)

I doubt it will. If I told you my current PC can run GTAIV maxed out with an ENB with 100 FPS, would you believe me? I have a Radeon HD 4350, an AMD Phenom II 910 and 8gb of memory. Do you even know w

  • Is that even a PC? Regardless, can you post your specs please?

Should be just fine. Medium with possibly a couple of sliders on high at 1080p.

Not really, no. The 7850 is a firmware limited version of the 7870, they're essentially the same card, and the CPU is usually the major bottleneck in GTA IV if you have a really good graphics cards. AMD's are a cheaper alternative to Intel, but the performance difference can be visible in newer games. That guy's frame rate is below 30 when driving around with the details he posted, with no flashing police lights or lots of high polygon cars riding around with you. And you'll notice he's recording his video by pointing a video camera at his monitor. That's because FRAPS recording would obliterate his frame rate even further, making the game unplayable. You can "get by" with around 30fps, but you can't record using FRAPS with that frame rate. You need to have a buffer zone. The videos I shot over a year ago were done on a stock install of GTA IV with a couple of modified police cars and ELS V5. I got around 40-45fps while not recording, on mostly high details. I now run an ENB mod with the same detail level, and get between 25-35 depending on what's on screen. Good enough to play with, but not something I can record with.

Not if you crank the details to the highest possible at 1920X1080. Medium should run buttery smooth with no ENB added. Recording the video at half the screen resolution may also boost performance.

Can u reply..!

I thought somebody already did. It's a mid-range gaming computer. Medium with a good frame rate, possibly some sliders high on 1920X1080. The graphics card is mediocre by the "latest" standards and Intel CPU's win over AMD's, but it's good for the money you paid.

No. Why would you think that something cheaper would do a better job?

Lilmar - I was looking up the same ones haha but the first one, I read that if you proberly get another graphics card to it then it might run it pretty well. ((I'm looking for a new PC as well))

I was thinking about renting a Alienware x51 for $50 a month on the dell.com site BUT I will be paying for it for 2 to 3 yrs. Should I just rent it? I think it's a good deal because it's going to proberly run GTA IV and some other games just fine. My mom said she's not spending over $350 on a computer and I told her "ARE YOU CRAZY" Lol.. But yeah she's only renting unless I find a good PC that runs GTA IV and some other games on atleast medium.. I told her she's going to be spending more money renting a pc then she's going to be buying one! So, just need some help, if anyone has any renting sites that won't scam you then please tell me

This thread needs to be updated a little bit for the Graphic cards I will go head and do that quick....

Alright if your looking for a new graphics card, your better off going with a 3.0x16 PCI slot Graphics card (if your motherboard supports it which most newer motherboards do)

If your looking for a nice card but don't to pay alot of money here are a list of cards to look at.

Geforce GTX 660

Geforce GTX 660TI

You really want to stay in the Geforce GTX series. Try to stay away from AMD/Radeon cards.

Let me explain why, drivers make up the card, without good drivers mind as well put your card in the Trash. AMD/Radeon cards don't have good drivers they dont run as good as they should with games. If you look online for best graphic cards of the year you will get websites saying some AMD/Radeon card is really powerful which is true. But the only thing they look at his the MHz and the power it gives out. They don't take a look at the drivers and how it works in game and under a load of stuff.

If you are looking for a good card and is willing to spend a little bit more money around the $400 range than look at this card

Geforce GTX 670, right now its the best selling card of the year and also is the best card for the money. Its made buy Nivdia or also knowing as EVEA, Nivdia cards are really good, they have really good drivers and software for them. Can't go wrong with a Geforce GTX 670 you just cant.

I really wouldn't suggest anything better than the Geforce GTX 670 because its just over kill and not worth the money...
