Quick question. I just installed RDE for the first time on a fresh install of GTA V - if I want to mod my police vehicles do I only have to replace them in the RDE folder or do I have to go through the normal installation procedures and also edit the ones in the RDE folder?

  • SWAT dispatch can only use FBI2 or SHERIFF2 models. Other things that seem to be hardcoded when it comes to dispatch: all Police types spawn with only two peds EXCEPT for the FBI model, only the FIRET

You only need to replace/edit them in the RDE folder

Good to know!  I reverted back to stock models due to the constant pain in the arse that it is when rockstar releases new updates.

Well now I'm having a problem where the skins on the sheriff vehicles are not appearing correctly (that might be something related to carvariations or vehiles.meta or something) and if I try to spawn hwaycar my game crashes.

You need to put the sheriff car models in bcso/dlc.RPF

As for the hwaycar crashing, I have no idea why that happens.

I fixed the sheriff issues, forgot to replace the carvariations.

However on some of the added models I'm unable to use the siren and lights. Is that another carvariations issue or would that be vehicle.meta?

That would be a 'carvariations.meta' issue.

Does anyone know what handling.meta to edit for the Noose 1, 2, 3, and 4 vehicles? Or the vehicles for RDE in general? I've attempted the one in the RDE/common/data directory and it didn't work.

You'd need to Edit the 'handling.meta' File in the Update.rpf File.

Why this mod (animation peds, when you shots) is not loading with LSPD First Response.dll?

I`m dont have a "Realism 0.9", but have animation from this video:

How to fix this?

So in this mod there's the Los Santos County Sheriff (Sheriff.ytf files) and Blaine County Sheriff (Bsheriff.ytf files), and I can edit the bsheriff units to respond in Blaine County by editing the backup.xml file. But in callout plugins, the sheriff.ytf cars spawn in Blaine County. They also spawn on the side of the road normally in game, and they spawn in traffic. I would love for RDE to figure out a way to completely separate the jurisdictions.

Sadly we can't do anything about either callouts (that's up to the author) or the spawning zones which we can't edit. We did however attempt to separate sheriff patrols as best as we could in the popcycle.

 But I'm trying to get the bear cat to spawn using your 5 star scripts. But i cant seem to get it to spawn this the entry for config file

I've managed to get it to work with a Tahoe, spawning the swat guys inside but then the police insurgent doesnt spawn with noose peds, but haven't been successful with the bear-cat in any form, Any help would be appreciated 

When driving around Fort Zancudo with wanted level I see civilians driving Insurgents (or whatever  those large armored trucks are called). That's funny. Not sure if it's related though.

Hi, When I install this through OpenIV, it's crashing my game on startup. I have no known DLC's and a legit disc copy of the game. LSPDFR is working and the EUP skin menu.

I have ScriptHook installed.

Did you install the hotfix on the RDE download page?
