[Suggestion] Panic Button

In light of my recent topic, I have thought of a new idea for LSPDFR.

Whenever I turn up alone at reports of "Gang Violence", I often spam the backup button when the gangs start shooting at me, similar to how a police officer would press a panic button. I find however, that spamming the backup button is unrealistic and sort of time consuming.

I propose a feature where you press a certain key, such as Control+F7 and you've essentially pressed a panic button. A small prompt above the map should appear saying it's been activated and then backup should appear really fast (5/6 units), possibly armed with shotguns and M4's as opposed to regular pistols.

What does everyone think about this? I've added a poll to gauge everyone's opinion.

This could be used to show off the ambient cops and giving more of a reason to use C:BOB again, rather than having the cops drive past.
On that note, I am sure that @Sam is working on this but, having ambient cops join in on a pursuit would also be nice.

It all depends. If you're in a firefight and there are only 7 or less normal backup would probably suffice. If there are 10+ it would be a good idea. Maybe this could be a mod.

It could be nice ! In lspdfr or a plugin. But only if this bug is avoided :

I don't "spam" the backup button anymore when I'm in a gang fight because when I do it, all the enemies are deleted by the game (you can see all the red blips disapear instantly when the backup units are spawned)... So when my 5125468 backups comes at me, there is no more people to fight.

Instead of that I only request max 1 or 2 backups.

It's realistic. Ex-SPO/911 Operator here, most and if not all radios used in Law Enforcement have "Emergency" buttons.

One thing that would be cool would be to implement the panic button as well as a "code 4" button.  That way when you press panic it spams like 10 cops (or pulls ambient when we have that ability), then when you hit "code 4" after enough have arrived the others that aren't in a certain radius don't arrive and continue patrol (aka despawn).  I think that would be cool to add to your panic button!

The only problem I'm having is that the backup units are handled by LSPDFR. I have no way of stopping them once they're dispatched and so I can't stop any more from coming once you turn the panic button off. I might speak with some of the other plugin devs and see if they have any ways of doing this.

I didn't even see that thread!  I'm glad you actually got it working!  From what I read, there was a limit on units, so that's fine, I just didn't want 400 police cars swarming my position, because that would crash the game.  Good work, keep it up!  I hope to see it uploaded soon, it'll add a whole new level of realism to the game!

the settings are all customisable. The number of units that respond is randomly generated. By default, there's a minimum of 3 normal units will respond and a maximum of 8. Between 0 and 2 swat units will respond also.
