Someone That Simply Cannot be Reasoned With (NYC)

Here's a video that popped up on LiveLeak recently.  From what I've gathered, an individual attempted to use a credit card inside of a fast food establishment.  The card was declined multiple times (and was likely stolen judging from that individuals inability to say the name on the card later on), and the manager of the store called the police to remove the uncooperative customer.  Said uncooperative customer took his phone out and began to record what occurred once he was confronted by the police.

The officers deserve commendations all around; just listening to the perpetrator for more than ten seconds is enough to make you want to facepalm repeatedly.  Don't forget to hear his ridiculous and wholly fictitious claim of being threatened with being shot toward the end of the footage.

I could never repeat myself so many times in such a calm manner.  Officer is was very patient, as well as clear and concise. My family runs deep in the NYPD glad to see there are still young officers like these two that are patient unlike most young hot heads in the department.

The value of this footage can't be overestimated; it shows where much of the "police abuse" BS comes from, what kind of situations and people Officers deal with on a daily basis (most of calls are small things like that), how minor issue can turn to major fight (noone should doubt that it could turn to 10-85 and huuuge drama how an innocent poor man was roughed up by NYPD poh-leece), how f**ckin HARD is to deal with people and actually enforce the law with the consciousness you can be "thrown under the bus" because of a minor thing. I feel sorry for MOSes they have to be so kind for people like that.

I think we already have a topic dedicated to this video.

Only difference between this topic and the topic I am linking here is that the video that is on the latter topic was from YouTube, not LiveLeak.

My mistake.  I don't frequent LCPDFR's forums as much as I did before the redesign to be honest.  Sorry about the duplicate.

No sweat, but keep an eye out for topics that cover certain subjects before you make a new topic next time.
