So a common issue a lot of people are having is once updating their LSPDFR the RAGE console no longer shows up.

In my experience this is because LSPDFR comes included with the very latest version of RAGE.  Which can cause the console to not open due to compatibility issues.

Solution:

Re-Install RAGE 16 from their official site.

Open your LSPDFR download 0.2 or 0.2a whichever is fine.

Drag "LMSCommon.dll" to your main game directory.

Drag the "LSPDFR" folder to your main game directory.

Open the plugins folder and drag all THREE into your plugins folder. (Yes including the folder)

 

As you can see you don't actually need to update the RAGE files, (the only reason I told you to on this post is so you can get it working again.  This would not be required in the future unless absolutely needed by LSPDFR.

I kinda wish they would put RAGE in a separate folder.  Hope this helps.

Would not recommend doing this, as youre potentially causing issues, since LSPDFR 0.2a relies on 0.17. Do this at your own risk. 

I'm not so sure this is a good idea, but if it works for you...

Someone else posted this, but I found it also works for me.

Launch RagePluginHook.exe. Once you're inside the game as a character, hit Esc to pause the game and then press ctrl-esc minimize the game. Click back inside the game and your RPH console should display.

When you say not a good idea, how? What would not work in using 16?

I'm not so sure this is a good idea, but if it works for you...

I don't see how updating the ragehook could possibly break the ragehook console. Works fine for me. If it doesn't come up, then the person is installing the mod or ragehook incorrectly.

Edit: Disregard this comment, commented this before trying it out for myself. Ragehook's console doesn't indeed open with the latest version of ragehook.

I'm glad for you but just because people have issues and you don't doesn't mean it's because of a failed installation or something. It's not because the log shows everything but the console works.

If you want to get technical, DirectX is having issues on tons of poeples machines for the console. Maybe not for you but quite a bit of people that it's a major problem.

Yes, hence meaning that it's something on their end. If me and another person install the mod EXACTLY the same way, and on my machine it works flawlessly and on their it doesn't, then that means it's something on their end that causes this.

As I said, i'm glad for you but don't blame the user for a software issue unrelated to hardware if you don't understand how PCs work.

It only happens with the newest Ragehook and ScriptHookV installed simultaneously. If both work for you, great, but a lot of people have trouble opening the console and the author of both plugins have acknowledged it.

I think you misunderstand the difference between a hardware issue and software issue. A hardware issue is related to the hardware configuration of the PC. The issue can be fixed by replacement of parts or finding compatible parts to fix the issue. A software issue is related to the coding and other conflicts that arise from the wide variety of software on many different PCs. Conflicts happen all the time causing a thing called bugs. Some are minor and some are major. This is a major bug as it makes a major feature of a piece of software virtually inaccessible to a good amount of users. Not to you. But a good amount

I meant if the software was working correctly for a majority of the people and some people had issues. Usually that means it's something on their end that is causing the problem. For example one person might say oh well my game crashes when i try to launch it through the ragehook. I had that too at one point, got it fixed by updating my net framwork. I wasn't talking about ragehook, this is where you misunderstood me. I'm aware that i probably wasn't putting things into context correctly. Now, the ragehook issue that you people describe above, is indeed ragehook's fault. I just confirmed that for myself, by trying to open the console, it didn't open. Sorry if i was being an arse by saying "works for me not for you ,your fault." Wasn't talking about this ragehook issue. You people misunderstood me. I am NOW aware of this ragehook issue, i just never really use it's console that's why i wasn't aware of it. Sorry.

Had the same problems reported in this thread - no console as well as PoliceRadio GUI would not show up in-game, but functioned just fine.  

So I just (re)installed Ragehook version 0_16_607_3592_ALPHA and everything is back to normal with the console and plugins and no issues at all with LSDFR.

LSPD:FR =/= Ragehook.

The issue is with Ragehook. Not with the mods that use Ragehook like LSPD:FR nor its installation as I previously stated that EVERYTHING including LSPD:FR works but the console that Ragehook allows.

Basically, this thread is about Ragehook. Not LSPD:FR that uses it.

I have most previous versions saved on my HD...so I just used the one quoted.  I think it's on the Ragehook website.
