VERSION 0.2.0 HAS BEEN RELEASED!

  • Added Hit and Run callout
  • Added Impaired Driver callout
  • Dispatch audio is now being handled by the LSPDFR API directly; there is no need for the NAudio.dll anymore
  • When speaking to subjects, they will now have many more things to say, so you will need to press Y more than once!
  • Subject stories will now change EACH TIME you get one of the callouts, for more variety
  • If peds spawn in the middle of the street, you can walk up to them and press CTRL+T to make them follow you to a safer location on the sidewalk
    • Press CTRL+T again to make the ped stop following you
    • This feature can also be used to separate two subjects, or to bring one subject to the other side of your cruiser for questioning
  • Assault suspect will now return to the scene when he sees that the police have been called
    • Does he genuinely want to tell his side, or is he trying to weasel out of being arrested?
  • Duplicate red blip bug from the Assault call has been fixed
  • There is now a delay between completing a call to the point where Dispatch calls it Code 4 (for realism)
  • A callout will end immediately if the player is killed, and Dispatch will send out an "Officer Down" call (for realism)
  • Suspects will react differently based on your response to a call...use that siren carefully!
  • Person With a Gun call now has some more variety, and will be developed further in the future
  • Unknown Trouble now has MUCH more variety, and will no longer be just a false 911 call
  • Ability to turn off the "1-ADAM-12" intro easter egg...but why would you want to do that?
  • Added all LAPD unit types (not just ADAM and LINCOLN!)
  • Various code optimizations

Log file would definitely help. As for Traffic Control, yes, it will eventually. After I've got Code 3 Callouts to a point where I am happy with it, then I can take another look at Traffic Control.

There will be an update coming soon, most likely next week, barring any major issues. I can't commit to a day, but it could come as early as Monday or Tuesday.

It will include a new callout, as well as a couple of new features.

All depends on how much free time I'll have, and how well testing goes.

Man your calls are amazing. I especially love Unknown Trouble one, because you never know what you gonna get! Once in Sandy Shores I got this call, and upon arriving I saw a typical city-looking girl (out here? In our Sandy?) That dumb bitch told me her Wi-Fi is not working! So I got really angry, got her ID and went to check. It turns out she's wanted by the city cops! A perfect picture: a dumb city celebrity commits a crime (speeding in her Cabrio? Or Hit and Run?), and flees Los Santos. Out here, in the desert, she thinks the city police won't get her, so she calls 911... And gets caught!

Another time I got a guy with a knife and had to arrest him. And just now this call led me to a dead body next to the Sandy Shores hangar, so I had to call the detectives! This is what Unknown Trouble really is: you never know!

One suggestion tho: maybe the detective should turn up in an unmarked Stanier, not in a Granger?

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, I was trying to add as much variety as I could to that one. Not only for realism, but just so its not the same scenario each time.

Often times, police officers get very little information (or none at all) about a call. Or worse yet, what they get from dispatch is completely different from what they see on arrival. That's not a knock on dispatchers, as they can only work with the limited information that they get. But its just the way things are. A lot of times, a caller simply dials 911, and hangs up. Dispatch calls back, and there's no answer. They have to respond quickly to those things, because no one knows if its a baby playing with the phone, or a home invasion in progress where the robber grabbed the phone from the victim's hand.

The detective's vehicle is random, and he shows up in one of three possible vehicles: either the unmarked Stanier, unmarked Buffalo, or unmarked Granger. I realize that detectives usually have unmarked sedans, but I threw the Granger in there just because it was the only unmarked police vehicle left.

As for the update, I think I might have jinxed it by announcing it. I've been spending most of the weekend battling a fever.

I just got out of bed, medicated myself, and sat down with the laptop cause I can't sleep anymore. Don't think I'll be working on it today though...my brain is too fried to think right now.

Thanks for the good wishes, guys. I am feeling better now, just been catching up with stuff I missed at work.

I did get a chance to do some testing on the latest version, and things are not quite where I had hoped. I also wanted to make a couple more small changes, since there are bug fixes to take care of. The release of RPH v0.24 also impacts development a little, as I need to bring my development tools in line with .NET Framework 4.6.

It's coming soon, but it won't be for at least two weeks.

It'd be cool in the assault callout if there was either a little description box showing if the suspects had wounds or if you could actually give them wounds on their body (not sure if the latter is possible yet)

Not sure about the latter, but I can definitely do a notification box that describes the subject's wounds. Great idea!

I don't think I can do that for this next update, but I will put that on my list for sure!

VERSION 0.4.0 HAS BEEN RELEASED!

  • Code 3 Callouts now requires RPH v0.24
    • I realize that there are people experiencing difficulties with the most recent update of RPH. However, v0.24 contains various fixes and optimizations that affect Code 3 Callouts. This plugin has only been tested with RPH v0.24. It may work with v0.22, but this configuration is not officially supported or recommended.
  • This update includes an updated version (v1.3.0) of the Stealth.Common DLL. Older versions of this DLL will not work.
    • THAT MEANS INSTALL IT AGAIN.
  • Dispatch Audio
    • If the user ignores a callout from Dispatch, an AI unit will accept the call over the radio (for immersion and realism)
  • Unknown Trouble
    • When a victim shouts for help, she will stop running away after police intervention.
  • NEW CALLOUT - POLICE IMPERSONATOR!
    • A citizen was signalled to pull over by someone identifying themselves as a police officer. The only problem is, this person was not actually a police officer. Due to the seriousness of these types of situations, Dispatch designates these calls as requiring a Code 3 response. Speak to the victim, and find out what happened. Then search the area for the suspect...quietly. Don't spook them! One more thing...approach with caution, Officer. This person may not appreciate being pulled over by the real police...
  • NEW FEATURE - AMBIENT EVENTS!
    • Not every situation is spoon-fed to you by Dispatch. You need to think on your feet, and be ready to react to anything that may happen right in front of you!
      • Normally, this would include traffic violations, but Albo1125 has that well-covered with his Traffic Policer mod. (And he did a great job with it, too!!)
      • There are two possible ambient events that may occur:
        • Fight in Progress - You come across two people in a fistfight. We can't have that happening. But be careful, one or both may turn on you...
        • Mugging - Someone is being held at gunpoint, and being robbed. They see a police car, and yell for help. But the suspect is not going to like that...so what are you still reading this for?! Get moving!! (This event is more rare than the Fight in Progress)
      • More ambient events will be added in future releases
      • You can customize the frequency of ambient events in the .ini file, or disable them entirely
      • Peds involved in an ambient event will be blipped on your mini map. The blips can be disabled in the .ini file, for realism
    • NOTE: Ambient events will not be triggered whenever the player is occupied with a callout or a traffic stop

Looks even better now. Thanks :) 0.24 is a bit of a problem tho, over plugins crash frequently. Gonna wait for a massive update.

BTW, this is my understanding that all the spawn points are mapped manually? In this case if you need any help with finding spawn points in the desert area (and if such help is at least possible, I remember doing smth like that for GTAIV mods), you can use me. It's just I noticed that Assaul and Unknown Trouble calls never occur in Sandy Shores or Grapeseed (I mean withing the town boundaries, on streets, near the buildings etc). So if that can be helped, I might be of use :)

Amazing plugin man, one of the best out there.  My only problem with it is the distance in which callouts are placed from me.  I could be driving and ill accept the callout and 9/10 its 20 meters behind me.  Hopefully you can add an option in the config for minimum distance for it to spawn in.  Keep up the good work man.

First off, love the mod. The variety of call outs is awesome! That said, I am getting crashes with RageHook 0.26 and this mod, mainly when the games tries to start the Impersonator callout.

Here is the relevant part of the log. Thank you!

I don't know how I didn't notice this post. Sorry about that.

I haven't heard about this from anyone else. That being said, the log clearly states that its a problem with my callout. I'll see if I can add some more error checking into that callout for the next update.

Thanks! I'm really bummed and wish I could play the mod. Maybe I'll tinker with some stuff when I have time to see if I can get it to work.
