Not as far as I know, no. You'll have to wait until the various scripthooks start working again.

What if you launched the game while disconnected from the internet?

This may not work for the Rockstar launcher edition of the game (I know it temporarily works for Steam)

Before updating, save a copy of the GTAV.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe and the Update.rpf (inside the updates folder) somewhere else, recommended inside a folder named GTA BACKUP or something so you don't forget.

When this is done let the game update to the latest edition. Then before launching the game replace the NEW downloaded files with the old ones you saved previously. And inside the commandline.txt file add -scOfflineOnly.

Again This may not work for anything other than the steam version, I can only verify that it works for the steam version as this is what I have

What I mean is Steam will handle the game's update if you have the steam edition. For everywhere else the GTA V launcher will handle the update (I believe anyway).
I can only verify that the method I posted above works for the steam version, as I got my copy through steam.

Sharing 3 files is not piracy. By definition he would have to be able to run the entire game from the few files he is asking for. All he is asking for is the exe and the update rpf.

Well, this is just bullcrap, especially being a Steam user. They always gotta do that STUPID AUTO UPDATE!

It's not though, is it? You get free content and all most do is complain. Sigh. Give it a few days and the scripthooks will be back on track. Do something else with your time while waiting. No one wants to hear nagging and complaining each time an update is released. It gets really old, really fast.

While I do agree with you about the free content part, people do create mods and want to test them and play them, but when they have that ability taken away, that gives them all the right to "complain and nag" as you call it, especially when they didn't get the option to update. Yeah, I'm sure they will be back on track in the next few days, but it is an inconvenience, especially being a Steam user.

When you speak about "rights" you move on the legal field, and as far as the law is concerned you have no right to modify the game in the first place. While I agree with you (I got only one spare week before I back on duty and have no time, and now I can't play), we really should wait for the mods to be available again.

You cannot modify the game and attempt to sell it for profit or as your own. That part is illegal. Rockstar already knows people do these mods and I don't think they've made any attempt to stop it. Well, I guess we wait now...

You can't modify it at all, according to the EULA.

  1. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, display, perform, prepare derivative works based on, or otherwise modify the Software, in whole or in part;

So basically R* tolerates our modding. Thanks for that, at least.
