Minimum Requirements for LCPDFR: Computers Specifications

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

I am new to LCPDFR. I am hoping to buy a computer. I have been looking at a computer with the following specifications:

Processor Type: Intel Pentium Dual Core

Processor Speed: 3.4 Ghz

RAM: 4GB

HDD: 500GB

OS: Windows 7 64 BIT

Graphics Card: 1GB Radeon 5450 HD DVI/HDMI/VGA

If you think that those specifications are enough please let me know guys.

Thanks in advance

Fitz

First, what is your budget? You'll be better off building your own PC, it's normally cheaper and is normally fun (Can be a bit frustrating) experience

Unfortunately, I would say no. I would get at least a quad core processor. Pentium is an older series of processors, while Core is the newer brand name. I personally use AMD, and there is much controversy over Intel Vs AMD. I'll leave that choice up to you. As for the GPU, DDR3 is slower at processing data that GDDR5. Try to find a card with GDDR5 such as the GTX 750 (Nvidia) or R9 270x (AMD).

McKinnion: The PC that I am hoping to buy is around 230 bucks so I am quite happy to buy it. I am quite good with computers and I see this as a bargain. Save the hassle with building one.

1ian20: Are you in response to running a ENB or running the game in general.

Thanks for the response guys!

I imagine it would be to the game in general, the PC you listed is very, very low end and outdated. If you can't afford much more than that just save up and wait to get one.

I think you can play GTA V and GTA: Online and multiplayer private servers, but not LCPDFR because your processor is bad, you will crash and bug all the script and you won´t enjoy it.

I appreciate the reply's guys but, the way I see it.

I have a Dual Core Processor which clocks at 3.4GHz which doubles the speed to 6.8GHz.

I have 8GB of RAM

I have a 1GB Graphics Card

I just want to play LCPDFR with Modified Cars with low specs.

Med-High Specs would be a great bonus but isn't really required.

If there is something that would TOTALLY prevent me from playing the game I would appreciate you letting me know, Thanks

I agree with @McKinnion and @1ian20. That build is pretty outdated. To be honest, just save up some more for a better build. You may want to play LCPDFR and all, not caring at what settings, but you'll regret it. Just wait a few more months or so, that way you can save some more money and get a better PC.

Dual cores does not equal dual speed, it just means that the processor can stand more tasks at once. I was having trouble running LCPDFR on a 3.6MHz QUAD-core processor - you're going to have hell running it on dual-core.

As EvilJackCarver said, two cores does not mean double the speed. It means that processes are split between 2 cores. And your processor isn't that amazing either. It's a pentium. I haven't seen one of those processors in a PC in a while. You originally said that you had 4 gigs of RAM, and now it's 8. Which is it? Both could probably get the job done, but 8 gigs would definitely do better than 4 gigs. Your video card only has 1 gig of DDR3 VRAM, so you're graphics won't be that great to look at. Your PC will barely run GTA 4 without mods, having a mod like LCPDFR would probably cause bugs and crashes due to processes failing to function and whatnot. If you do try to run the game with mods, you make get an average FPS of 30 or so at the most

Well duh, probably because you're running at 3.6MHz not GHz :p

Force-of-habit typo, meant 3.6 GHz (I always type it as 3600 MHz). My mistake.

Point still stands.

Your PC isn't going to Run good, It will be Low Quality, and jiggering without Mods, So i would say save up untill you have a budget of Around £500 at least / Minimum

There is no way you can Run LCPDFR with good Graphics and Mods on a Processor that low with Only 2 Cores, Sorry but its the truth, i need help myself but i know enough to know that it won't work. Save up, then buy one, Get a Weekend job or something to earn extra ££

Just get the recommended specifications for GTA V, or close to it. It's really really pointless just getting a PC that matches GTA IV - it's an old game.

LCPDFR is no longer actively developed, in favour of LSPDFR.

Good Point, I still think GTA IV will be better than GTA5 Will ever be, and i hope that updates keep coming for it ( LCPDFR updates )
