Cops and Weapons

Featured Replies

How about a way to choose how many cops will come in a backup car in the INI file, as well as a way to choose the different weapons that they have. It could work like the already in game NOOSE teams and FIB teams, where some will have pistols, others will have the pump action shotgun and the semi automatic one, and some will have mp5's or m4s. It would add more realism because most departments have shotguns on standard issue, with only one cop per car, and almost every department is starting to add AR-15's (civillian m16 in semi auto) to every car. Thanks for listening to my suggestion.

It sounds like a good suggestion. Customizing their weapons can balance it and/or make it more unique.

I agree, but I see a more simple option. When you go into your trunk (F4), either you recieve an AR15 or give an option. Because there are shootouts when you encounter multiple assailants and they have assault weapons. A shotgun doesn't have the range and the handgun isn't enough power when you have hard targets. I was looking the through the code today to see if change the Shotgun to an AR15 was a simple task or not. But I can't locate the scripts that allow you to add the weapons.

Would be nice to have though. But they can keep doing what they are doing. And should they decide to bring out an official game, they have my $60. Even if its not GTA, I think they have they have the concepts and clearly there have been mark-offs of GTA since its release.

Use Simple Native Trainer's bodyguard options to select thier weapons and more, like health, clothes, speech, walk style, etc.

There's no AR15 in the game?

There's no AR15 in the game?

Yes, that's was my error... I was referring to M4. How do I get the script to call for the M4 instead of the shotgun when I press 'F4" to open the trunk of the cruiser?

Um, i'm not really into scripting. But i just suggest using trainers to spawn weapons.

Use Simple Native Trainer's bodyguard options to select thier weapons and more, like health, clothes, speech, walk style, etc.

How will the trainer affect the gameplay of Lcpdfr? It appears from the readme the trainer is primarily for the main game and not for the lcpdfr mod? Or can I have ELS mod and the Trainer running at the same time?

Just use the baseball as a nightstick. You might also want to download a skin for bat that will change it into a nightstick.

I've tried this texture everywhere but i dindn't found

In all honesty I would prefer the ability to basically select weapons from a trunk or something (perhaps even for those on EFLC, implement some sort of control setup similar to where in those two games you can select weapons from the back of your friends vehicle), rather than use simple native trainer, cause to me at least, it's not simple at all.

I don't mind customizing weapons a bit from the 'basics' and would rather have an LCPD native method of it, something like simple native trainer is a far too overkill method to go at it with imo : P

I think rather than use the "you could do this instead" answers, we should consider these as maybe not pressing, but nice small enhancements to what's already there. I like them. I think fixing glitches and crashes and strengthening the mechanics are more important, yes, but I like threads and suggestions like these.

I rode with an F.T.O. on my local police department last summer, and he had a tactical assault rifle up on the ceiling, of all places. (A lot of cop cars have it in their trunk.) I noticed it and asked him about it, and he simply said: "We're starting to use these instead because they're more accurate than a shotgun."

Kind of scary they need that kind of accuracy, but it's hard to argue with simple logic.

*EDIT*

Also, where do you get the earlier mentioned "Bxbugs´s ASP Baton"? I always hear these recommendations, but nobody includes links to them and Google yields nothing.

You can find it at the gtapolicemods site

However, I personally don't use it because from the pictures that were included in the download, I could see that it doesn't change the baseball bat's size - so it's quite a big baton

But that's just my personal opinion and shouldn't be taken as criticism at all - i think Bxbug's mods are great work and you should just try it out.
