Game freezing

Featured Replies

Just started this morning when I noticed that the forums were down. All of a sudden now my game freezes. When I go on duty normal, it freezes at the loading screen, When I force duty, I freeze as soon as I try to pull someone over or respond to a call. As I said, was working fine last night, and no changes were made to the game.

I think I'm having the same issue, every time I activate LCPD:FR and go into the police station I get stuck on the loading screen. I have removed everything and I am re-downloading the vanilla version on Steam, then I will re-install LCPD:FR and report back on my results...

I think it might have to do something with this site changing over or something the freezing began as this site was in the process of changing...hopefully someone can chime in

This is whats happening to me as well. Neither GTA V or GTA IV work for me! The game works, I force duty, Press Alt+U to put on my hat and then the game freezes, have to log out EVERY time! I tried without using the hat, seconds later it just froze. This is actually getting ridiculous

Are you all playing online? It's possible LCPDFR is crashing from the new, redesigned website.

I'm playing single player...

I'm guessing that when we try to go on-duty, the LCPD:FR script calls out to the website's API to obtain our user info and since the site is being re-worked the API is not currently active causing a response timeout which leaves our games hanging...

There was a fix that LMS uploaded about a week after the main release of 1.1 that fixed issues that people were having trying to use LCPDFR offline (I guess it would apply here where the masterserver is down).

It has no seperate name so you'd be unable to tell it apart from the first release. Please try redownloading LCPDFR 1.1 from our downloads section and reinstalling it.

Works for me now. I wasn't aware of the update. Thank you very much.
