Fairly certain the game will be released on the same time, regardless of time zone. 

As stated above, the game will be released at midnight British time. Doesn't matter where you are, you'll have to wait just as long as everyone else.

I've had this pre-ordered since it was announced for PC.. just 12-13 hours from now and i'll have the retail version box on my desk and the disc in my DVD drive to install on my PC.. It'll take a long time.. Far Cry 4 had 3 discs, CoD:AW had 6 discs.. yeah GTA V will have a lot of discs.. should've gotten Steam version.. I didn't get it because of a 200gb monthly download limit.. but then Telstra (our phone/internet company) bumped it to 500gb per month at no extra cost a few days ago =/ Nice timing Telstra.. Nice timing.

I remember reading something on the Rockstar website about box versions coming with a key to activate on the social club so you can download it from there. No preloading though, as you obviously don't have a key yet.

Interesting.. I'll have to check it out when i get my copy tomorrow.. Normally downloading games is a lot less time than installing from a disc for some reason. so if i can download it from RGSC then i'll be happy =)

My bank account took a hit from buying GTA V, but I'm installing it as we speak! Only 4 more hours to go!!

Good grief, I cannot wait until I am on the bus towards the mall tomorrow, feeling the weight of all the CD's and the map in my hands, walking out of the gamestop, going home, putting the disc in, install it, and start it in the morning after, to play it a hour before school.

I agree, no point in getting it if you have it on console unless your die hard about the graphic upgrades (not worth the wait). At the end of the day, ive always played gta since the beginning for playability, not its graphic quality. So yeah, wait for mods (if).

lspdfr mod wouldn't be made for atleast a year or so along with car mods I don't see the point in getting gta v at release date

 

Reading anything about GTA V with a release date/time has made me realise that we still live in a world with a flat earth society. It is called a timezone. Did you all miss the class as a child that taught you how to read time? I'll forgive people for DST confusion, that stupid shit needs to die. It is released worldwide at 23:00GMT/00:00BST.

Here are some examples for those struggling:

I live in Denver, my timezone is MST(-7:00), it is currently DST. 23:00GMT - 7:00 = 16:00MST, 16:00MST + 1:00 = 17:00MDT. GTA V will release Monday, 17:00/5PM here.

I live in Adelaide, my timezone is ACST(+9:30), it is not currently DST. 23:00GMT + 9:30 = 08:30ACST. GTA V will release Tuesday, 08:30AM here.

It's funny, I read a bit of a Q&A with a couple of the devs of V and one of the questions asked was about modding the game and about how it is/was a huge thing with IV on PC; they asked how V will support it and their only reply was "Since GTA Online has such a massive and vibrant community, our primary focus is making sure that nothing detracts from that experience or has a negative impact on the overall community of players."

 

They didn't really say anything about modding, so I really hope V is moddable. 

How to piss me off:

1) Let me preorder a game in November

2) Wait

3) Delay game 3 times until 14th of April

4) Call someone to pick me up so I can get the game

5) Said person can't do that then, tells me "maybe tomorrow"

6) I say no.

7) Person tells me that he can pick it up at his lunch break

8) I ask when I can get game

9) Persons reply: 8pm.

10) I was originally supposed to have game at 4pm

11) Means I cant play game on 14th, because of installation and similar issues. 

????

"We'll stop online mods, we could not give a toss about offline mods. We won't do anything to stop them… on purpose, at least. As always, we won't do anything to make modder's lives easier. Fend for yourselves. It's not like you keep our game alive long after it would have died off."

The preparations made with console data and other RAGE titles (GTA IV & MP3) mean that it should not be long before the mods start flooding in.

Ohnofucking way. I am so mad right now, my mobile broadband ran out of it's 20gb of internet.

I won't have gta v for a week then, since I Cant download them 5gb data and activation stuff.

yippeee I have so many idea's for police car skin packs for gta 5 and all just need the car's/ templates ;-)  lol  and gonna try to learn to model car's for gta 5 

least for me making car's for gta 5 is more motvating then gta 4
