yeah, morality is such a flexible thing. When a person is fired because his organization was shut down due to management failures, he stops making payments and find himself on the street, that's completely moral for you. On the other hand, if someone willingly sells him or herself, that's immoral.

At least, when it's legal and organized and you hear loud moaning from the apartment next door, and it offends you, you can call the police, and the legally organized brothel will face troubles. An illegal brothel will be shut down, but next night it's gonna be open again, and some tall bald guys will show up at your door to speak about privacy.

And I will exercise my second amendment right on those tall men.

I'd rather not see a disgusting STD infected whore on the side of the road preaching sex and drugs to my children... no thanks.

As a prostitute myself, I would greatly appreciate the legalization of this business...

I'll develop my point of view as I realize my post wasn't very explicit about it. Personally, I'm against all kind of prostitution. Not because it would be immoral or whatsoever, but because I have a very romantic view when it comes to sex. What differenciates us from animals when it comes to sex? We feel things. Emotions. Sensations. It's not only a random intercourse to repopulate or anything. To me, sex is the physical expression of a true, shared love, and to me it should keep this sacred meaning. It should mean something, it should be important. Having sex is sharing your purest intimacy with someone else, so it should be done with someone you trust and love. Having random sex just like that is disgusting to me, I don't even understand how it can be hot and sexually stimulating to someone. I'm not saying my opinion is the ultimate truth, nor am I claiming that everything should be the way I say it, but that's how I feel about sex. Yeah, as I said I'm a romantic when it comes to that, can't help it.

It's OK to be romantic when girls love you :D

Yeah. Sure. Whatever. You nicely selected my final words and missed the rest. Guess it counts as an answer itself.

And the sad part is that I'd probably be laughed at if I was addressing a group of people and stated this. Nowadays, people only want sex for the sake of earning the reputation of, "Yeah, I boned that girl that everyone is after". This is why I'm still a virgin, because I'm not the type of person to fuck around with people just for the hell of it. I think it's retarded, and it makes us no different than wild animals. No, humans are not wild animals. If you believe humans are wild animals, run out into the forest butt naked and see how long you last.

Prostitution not only disgraces the human body, which is a very beautiful and amazing structure, but it ruins a sense of morality. Morality does play a large role in prostitution, and morality is very important. For example:

I'm walking down the street and I see someone fall and get hurt. Morals and values would tell me to check on that person and see if they're alright. If I had no morals, I'd probably just keep walking and ignore them. The military, of any first world country, teaches morals and values. To say that morals and values are meaningless is not only ignorant, but above and beyond retarded.

This is a completely different topic, for a completely different discussion. This also isn't entirely true, plenty of people still oppose homosexuality.

Okay, his post wasn't entirely off topic, he was merely saying that things that are considered immoral aren't seen as the same to others.

Personally I don't get why people are opposed to gay people, it's stupid.

Honestly, I couldn't say. Looking at countries like Thailand, India, and Russia where the sex trade is common there is a much higher occurrence of HIV and AIDS. That being said IF it was legal then someone would need to be responsible for making sure the "ladies of the evening" are not infected with an STD, and also make sure the customer is healthy as well. Also, in terms of the legal standpoint it really fills up our jails and the rules seem to be really, really inconsistent. Sometimes they will arrest both of the people, sometimes just the prostitute, or sometimes just the customer, if it was legal there would be more police resources available to deal with larger issues. You would also need to make sure some laws are kept in place, such as laws that address sex slavery which would still need to be handled as a crime. Making it illegal would also make prosititues available to juveniles which would be an issue. In the end, it all comes down to what you believe, I don't have a problem with it as long as it's regulated.

Taking away someone's house because they can't pay for it is responsibility. If someone cannot take responsibility and take care of their financial issue, then they should expect foreclosure to happen. He could take a loan from the bank while he looks for a new job, move in with relatives or friends, or rent a cheap small apartment while he gets back on his feet. It's not the banks job to feel sorry for people and give them houses they cant afford.

Where I Live in Clark County Nevada, Known to the Rest of the Country as the Las Vegas Area, Prostitution is Legal with Heavy Oversight from the Government, Including Regular STD Check-Ups and Prostitute Registry, I Could be Wrong but I've been told the Check Up Dates are Every 3 Weeks. Also in Clark County Prostitutes Are Forced by law to have Condoms on Hand, I Agree I Don't have a Problem with it either as long as its Safe for the Public which in Las Vegas its Gone Pretty good So far.

That's more of an opinion really. This is where difference in morals, values, beliefs, religion come into play. It's a matter of opinion, and not everyone has the same opinion. If it were fact it wouldn't be an issue.

The sky is blue. This is a fact, and it doesn't take much to prove it. How many people are out there debating that the sky is not blue? Not very many I'd assume.

exactly morality is just our opinions

exactly morality is just our opinions

But sometimes morality is what's right. Morals say to treat people with respect. Even if you have no morals, you should still treat people with respect. It really does depend, but some things aren't opinion, and morals back them up.

It shouldn't be legal on the street. Sex in a car for money is absolutely disgusting. I can't even imagine walking down the street, and seeing people have sex in a car down an alley, and it be legal.

Is your objection there really to the "for money" bit, though? It seems like you'd be just as opposed to people having sex in a car in an alley if it's not for money, in which case it's more a matter of public decency laws and less an issue of prostitution laws.

anyone here seen penn and teller bullsh*t episode on prostitution?

I just looked it up, found a segment on Dailymotion. I'm a big fan of Penn Jillette's politics. He makes good points in an entertaining fashion.

I don't have a clue what you just said but I'll say it again.

Having sex in a car in an alley is disgusting, and should remain illegal. I can't imagine seeing or hearing something like that, and it be absolutely legal and protected under the US Constitution.

I'll say it again, then: I don't see what that has to do with prostitution. The legality of having sex in a car in an alley has nothing to do with the legality of prostitution. Do you object to people having sex in a car in an alley who *aren't* prostitutes? If so, what you want are laws against having sex in public (and counting "in a car in an alley" as "in public"), but that has nothing to do with laws against paying for sex.

I absolutely disagree. A significant portion of prostitutions happen in cars. Prostitution is sex for money, it isn't necessary to go any deeper into definition than that. The idea of people having sexbin a car for money is disgusting. I think that prostitution is disgusting altogether, but doing it in a car is 10x worse.
