  • Yup, DCS A10C Warthog is awesome and technical.  Very satisfying to roll in on a SAM site, take it out, and live to fly home without using the fire extinguisher or 0/0 ejection seat.  Definitely a stu

@43lincon The F-5 is still a pretty badass plane for its age

Out of all the aircraft, it has to be the F-14 Tomcat. It has such a unique style and personality.
There's just something about it that I love.

Lockheed F-117 NightHawk is so dope, SU-25 Frog Foot too but it is Russian

I Agree, My uncle was a mechanic for the Air Force who only worked on F-117's until he was assigned to the design team for the F-22 at Skunk Works and Area 51.. so the 117 and 22 have to be my two favorite planes. Now i live in North Las Vegas, Nevada really close to Nellis AFB Home of the Thunderbirds so Military jets fly over my house Constantly Just earlier i had 4 F-16's 2 F-15's and a B-52 fly over our Backyard on my way to wal mart a few days ago i watched 2 B-1 Lancers and a B-52 Land at Nellis

Just my kind of thread! :) To be honest, this is such a tough choice. But here we go anyway:

1. A-10 Thunderbolt II (Which is trying to be phased out by the AirForce, and being replaced by the not-so-equal F-35 Lightning II. Luckily, there is congressional opposition.)

2. F-15E Strike Eagle

3. F/A-18E Super Hornet

4. F-16C Fighting Falcon

5. F-22 Raptor

This is very difficult to post because I find myself questioning my list, but I don't think it's a huge deal anyway. :)

Not really a "Fighter" but the A-10 Thunderbolt II is my choice overall. I've been studying it's controls and systems in many simulators for a while now..

I've practically learned everything about it besides the weapons systems, Those are quite complicated lol.

@TaylorSwift which simulator are you talking about? are you referring to DCS: WORLD A-10C module, or r u referring to Falcon BMS 4.32 (since it has a A-10 plane in there)

The X-29 was an experimental aircraft that my grandpa worked on with some others. It had foward swept wings.

Also the P51s because they flew my my grand-uncles B-17. My grand-uncle flew in the ball turret of I think the crew her her, "The Wicked Witch". Anyways on on flight the Nazis shot him down, flak or Luftwaffe I don't know. He, grabbed a parachute, smashed open the side turret, and jumped. He saw his plane and crew crash into a mountain, meanwhile he lands right into the Germans, until his POW was liberated. And my other grand-uncle lied about his age to fly in the Aleutians with the Navy

DCS A-10 is what i prefer. But there are also flight modules similar in FSX and other simulators, I Find DCS to be the more satisfying and realistic simulator.
