I guess I don't like reading books because I read really slowly. But reading the forums on this site is an exception for some reason.

I don't occasionally read books but one book in particular has got me interested.

I have watched the film 'Lone Survivor' and it was a really amazing/emotional film.

I heard that they made a book of it before the initial film was released.

After watching the film I HAD to read it as the story was emotional.

Also read a book about Indians during civil war called Muckaluck.

The funnest book I have read recently was Wicked: Story of the Wicked Witch of the West :)

I've been slowly working my way through the Aubrey-Maturin series since last year (I like parts of it, just parts of it are slow, and when I hit those I tend to put it down for a while).

I'm currently reading about heredity and the opposing viewpoints series, this one I'm reading now is on gun violence. Yeah non fiction all the way.

I got a book called "My Road to the Badge" by Brett Calman, a Canadian Constable. It's a story about how he shifted careers and became a Police Officer in about 150 pages. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking at a career in law enforcement.

Want to read about something related to policing? Check this out https://onbeingacop.com/. A book telling the stories of a Chicago Police officer and later promoted to a homicide detective in the 60-80's. Check out the blog for some of the stories. 1968 race riots, officer down situations, weird murders, the Cabrini Green housing projects, funny and sad moments. A glimpse into a police officer in a urban setting. Shows that being a cop isn't all about catching criminals, something I wished LCPDFR could do.

My favourite authors are Ray Bradbury and Teodor Drayzer. And I love reading books that convey the atmosphere of smth very well. For example, "The Song of Ice and Fire".

I read Tuntematon Sotilas/The Unknown Soldier by Väinö Linna not too long ago, I loved it!

Currently reading through Band Of Brothers.

Not big into reading. Last "Book" i finished was -'The Art of War'- by Sun Tzu

I  never really read.. the only thing that i read that could be classed as a book, is Graphic Novels.. which are all Batman xD. i've only just started reading graphic novels too, so yeah.. you can tell i'm not a big reader.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

I just got started on Killing Patton by Bill O'Reilly. I've already read Killing Lincoln. Really interesting and it read well, Patton is shaping up to be good as well. Should be interesting to hear the details that suggest the general was assassinated.

Currently reading "Under the Dome" by Stephen King. Really good stuff :)

And why read, one asks? Why not? One needs to escape to another reality that isn't a monitor every once in a while.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I'm currently reading U.S. Marshals by Mike Earp, former Associative Director of the United States Marshal Service. After I finish, I'm planing on reading The Onion Field by Joesph Wambaugh, a former Los Angeles Police Detective Sergeant.
