Bring Back Pursuit Backup

Featured Replies

I have just been playing the new 1.0d, everything is great. The stability is awesome! I manage to play LCPD:FR for hours without crashing but when I notice that the pursuit backup was removed, that's really piss me off. It ruin the whole point of being a cop in GTA, where when people drive into your car and flea you call in a fleet of backup so please, bring that back or at least can someone make addon to do so. I am tired of chasing a suspect alone.

Use your QAM to call in backup.. it hasn't been removed, i think it just doesn't spawn cars automatically.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Ok, I tried. Still, it's the backup that just go to the location that you call. What I mean is the one in the previous version. The one that follow the suspect vehicle and join the pursuit.

when a suspect flees in a car on my game once i press down and X back up comes. also can't you push alt B and backup come as well? or did that change with the update? i haven't checked that out yet :P

Are you sure you pressed ALT + E at the start of the pursuit, to call it in? Also, are you seeing the flashing blue/red pursuit circle at your mini-map?

If my post made you laugh (or giggle) in any way, smash that blue grey "Like this" button & like it

He's right, backup will only help you with the pursuit if you have called it in.  You'll know if the pursuit is an actual one that has been called in by the flashing red and blue search area on the map.  This was one of the key new concepts we introduced in 1.0, and is detailed in the user documentation (which I wish people would read, at least to understand the changes in 1.0)

I know what I mean is that when you called the pursuit in, you should have the ability to call in additional units to assist you like in the previous version where you can call in LCPD/NOOSE backup to assist you with the pursuit and the units that are called in follows the suspect vehicle. How am I not making this clear? This is nothing about calling a pursuit in or pressing alt+e, it's about what happen after you call in a pursuit.

You can use the QAM to call for all types of backup during a pursuit, or you can use the keys as normal.

CTRL + N for a helicopter by default.

ALT + B for a patrol unit by default.

ALT + N for a NOOSE unit by default.
