Hello, I would like to know if it is legal and allowed to install LCPDFR on GTA IV Steam edition?

Because I know that we aren't allowed to install some mods on GTA IV Steam edition because of VAC and the Terms of Service.

    VAC bans are mainly for people who cheat online and for online games like CS,Battlefield, COD etc.. it's just Valve's version of the SAM:P Anti Cheat System.

     

    Plus majority of LCPD:FR users play LCPD:FR on the Steam version of GTA (including myself) so you won't have problems.

    VAC Bans are for Valve games. You may get in trouble if you are playing LCPDFR Online in a Public game, but not by Valve. 

    Not true, VAC covers over 300 games including non-Valve titles, a VAC ban can be issued on any account that has evidence of cheating via report or via the VAC system. The ban is not issued instantly upon cheat detection, usually days or weeks after the initial detection.

    If you are using the mod by yourself, I don't see any problems. Furthermore, if you are playing online and the other players have the same mods, I don't see the problem.

    By get in trouble I mean banned from the social club or GFWL for using cheats / third-party tools. 

    Don't think that they really care about that

     

    I've seen tons of lobbies for trainers etc, and besides, I don't think Rockstar really moderates GTA IV online anymore.
