Cannot downgrade GTA IV Complete Edition (1.2.0.59) – LCPDFR issue

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to run LCPDFR on GTA IV (Complete Edition, 1.2.0.59, Steam/Rockstar Launcher), but alt + P does not open the menu.

I have tried:

  • Multiple downgrade tools (ClonkAndre, Zolika, Legacy)

  • XLiveless installation

  • Blocking Rockstar Launcher via firewall

  • Installing ScriptHook.dll, xlive.dll, LCPDFR and plugins folders in the correct GTA IV directory

  • Changing file permissions to allow overwriting

  • Targeting GTAIV.exe (not PlayGTAIV.exe)

Despite all this, GTAIV.exe remains at 1.2.0.59. It seems the Complete Edition blocks all downgrade attempts.

Questions:

  1. Can LCPDFR run on 1.2.0.59, or is 1.0.7.0 strictly required?

  2. If 1.0.7.0 is required, what is the safe way to downgrade, given that all attempts fail?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
