Cant Get To Domestic

Featured Replies

Got a call for a domestic and it ended up being at that place that Roman plays poker at. The problem is you cant get in the place. No door opens up! I could hear the people fighting in there but could not enter.

I'm not sure what causes this issue at that building, Someone elsed mentioned it aswell, I have not had that call yet. I can only say the Devs will be aware of it.

Out of curiosity I would like to ask are you using GTAIV or EFLC ? And if you can remember where is it (what area) Seem to recal must be hove beach somewhere... I would like to recreate it. Just for my own twistied curiosity :)

Yeah I have GTA4. It is NE of that park near Hove Beach. You go there in your very first mission I think so Roman can gamble. He runs out the back because some guys in a willard show up and chase you and Roman out of the area.

Unfortunately it seems as though this building is unlocked in EFLC and locked in GTA IV. Will look into fixing this soon (we all use EFLC).

I've noticed this problem myself at a building somewhere near the hospital on the first island. I'm using GTA IV even though I have EFLC. I found EFLC crashed more often than GTA IV when running the mods I had.

Open up Simple Native Trainer (if you have it) and select: Move Forward Near Door when next to the door, it'll teleport you through it and inside.

Still trying to find the place so I can try this. Was thinking the same thing but it might turn out that in GTAIV the inside of the building is not moddeled and you just end up falling through sapce. Worth trying though for sure.

Edit: if anyone knows the street name where the building is it would be good. Cruising Hove beach and sods law I just never get that call :)

If I know the street name at least I can have a snoop around.

Also regarding post below, that's good news cause it means it can be fixed I guess for GTAIV players.

It is indeed modeled.

I've been inside when playing multiplayer with some friends, although it was on Xbox 360, the door was unlocked too.

The problem with using NT to get through the door is you cannot get the arrested suspect back out. You have to kill him in there.

Also...to find the place just start a new game. It is the first mission you do with Roman.

Yep just found it, and got the call :)

It's in Schottler at the Discount Hardware store on Dillion street. I used SNT to gain entry, and like Harper said the inside is indeed moddeled in GTAIV.

I made my arrest and called for a transport. Obviously they can't get in so I left the area and the game cleared the call ok.

The good thing is it's moddeled inside so pretty confident the Devs will be able to adjust that call to work with GTAIV.

In the meantime use SNT to gain entry, then call for prisoner transport and then leave the area. You get the arrest stat and don't have to kill anyone :)

Or decline the Domestic call in Schottler if you dislike using SNT.

Long story short the devs are aware and will look into it. *See post 5.

No need to call for transport, just leave the suspect.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

I don't use SNT so that solution wouldn't apply to me, and that "workaround" shouldn't be necessary. I'll have to avoid domestic calls in that area until the spawn points are changed.

This callout works perfectly for me and I play IV

I've had that callout, and both the suspect and victim made it out of the building.

Could it be related to the issues with the DB call at the car dealer on Algonquin, where the doors are locked at night?

I was wondering about this too because at the place where Roman plays poker why on earth would the inside of the building be modeled if you weren't meant to gain access to it. And this was released before EFLC.

@Mr Snapp, do me a favour, if you get the call again can you open your phone and make a note of the time and what day it was. This is purely for my own experiments :)

If you really want a domestic, just hit in Alt + F11 and it should come up with a callout. Keep on hitting that in until you see a domestic. :) Hope this helped.

But be careful with it, if you don't want to risk your game crashing, then I just suggest waiting for a callout rather than pressing to get it.
