Few tips and tricks and your computer runs much better gta IV.

FPS lags or just game won't run smoothly when something big happenes?

Pickup any patch. Best performance with 1.4.

Use follow settings to get best performance:

1. View distance 70

- So map loads before you go forward in game.

2. Details distance is good to be same 70.

- Pretty same reason.

3. Other setting to the medium or high.

! These setting if you don't own gamer computer !

Why the 70? It has proved to be the best.

If you do then just but all ultras!

If your computer is really old then just pickup 1.4 patch.

Your game spawns same cars? Mostly taxies.

Reason is: Too many custom car. Custom cars are higher quality so game can't load

them in time so it's copy just one car.

So avoid custom cars what have over 2mb overall memory .wtd and .wft files.

Reality traffic mod can help, but it's not work with everyone.

How to take ingame video? You can use software what is created for capturing gameplay.

But why don't use gta IV own game capture system? It's simply to use.

1. Toggle video capture on. From esc menu.

2. Drive, shoot can or do whatever you want. And press F2 when you are ready-

3. Press up key. Choose video editor. Click enter.

4. Choose the video what you just captured from "today" or "this week" section and double click it.

5. Double click video's title and change it whatever you want.

6. Edit video if you want. Or do you have better editor? Then just upload video.

7. After it's uploaded go "upload" from hotspot.

8. Click your video and double click it. And it starts play your video. You can see the progress bar in top.

9. After it's done close game or press windows button and do follow:

Press start -> Documents -> Rockstar Games -> GTA IV -> Videos -> Rendered -> and vola there is your video in .wmv file.

Edit it oor just upload into youtube and enjoy!

If this thread was on a general GTA IV gaming website, I could possibly see it working... maybe... but recommending PPM on LCPDFR? Nope. Recommending out of date versions of the game? Not gonna work. Making statements with no links? Definitely not going to work.

I pretty near fell out of my chair when he mentioned PPM on *this* forum of all places. rofl
