Because many peoples emotions get the better of them under social pressure, so they can take their frustration out physically on people who work for the bank when they can't pay their mortgage or they think their taxes are too high. Bankers are citizens too, so the police need to protect them and their property from physical harm. If bankers decided to sit in our driveways not allowing our cars to pass through and hold up signs in front of our windows while standing on our porches, the police would pepper spray them and handcuff them just the same.

I can appreciate that the U.S. economy is screwed up, and that politicians play a large part in it, but most American citizens either do absolutely nothing, or they take unreasonable measures in the form of physical protest without actual action that would change the situation for everyone. The best thing to do would be to have the thousands of people protesting to write their congressman instead and threaten no re-election. But such is life. As far as I'm concerned, humans aren't much higher up in the evolutionary tree than chimpanzees. We screech and make a lot of noise when we're angry and we attack people for seemingly no reason quite often, just like chimps do. We just have a bigger vocabulary and are capable of using tools. We're not as intelligent as everybody thinks we are, otherwise social an economic barriers wouldn't exist. We'd be above such a concept as a hierarchy.

People don't kill their selves for fun, they do it as they see it's the only way to truly escape a problem. I too do not believe you should kill yourself as there is a lot of help you can get; I think calling her a coward for killing herself is a little harsh and insensitive though. Would you have called her a coward when she went to work as a trooper everyday? Chances are you would of said she's really brave.
 
Poor girl, hope the family is holding up as well as they can.

It'll never stop, legal or illegal, the U.S & Canadian Governments would rather over populate & give immigrants our jobs rather then be like "STAY IN YOUR OWN GOD DAMN COUNTRY" & employ their own people.
 
I'm all for immigration if:
A) I don't have to change how I live
B) Speak any different in fear of offending immigrants
C) Follow our laws
D) Learn to speak PROPER english
E) Don't expect me to be all "halalalala" at your religion when something I do is against your religion & offends you, cause I.D.G.A.F I was here first
F) Your in the country I was born in, I was here first
G) I don't care about your religion, keep that shit & your god away from me
H) Make sure you aren't taking some elses job

I love how several people have jumped on the "I'm not against immigration but it annoys me that they come over here and sponge off benefits".
So surely then you should also be annoyed by the large number of people in the UK who are claiming benefits for no reason, having too many kids that they can't control just for the government income and then those kids end up being raised very badly, turn to crime and other negative activities and eventually end up just like their parents, complaining that it was all the immigrant's fault.
 
People always bitch that they steal our jobs. If every hard working indian person quit their job now as taxi drivers, delivery truck drivers, factory workers. All the low wage paying, long hour jobs, I bet not a single benefit claiming white UK citizen would get up off the benefits and take that job. Instead they would say "I don't want that job" despite the fact they have no education to get a better paying one.
 
And lastly, a lot of our population from different ethnic backgrounds are rightful UK citizens. A lot of them born here just like you. And don't put the immigrants down either, they want to become a UK citizen they have to take a test with questions that I'm certain the majority of the UK wouldn't actually know the answers to, so who deserves to be a citizen really?
 
My point being, don't isolate those who come from a different ethnic background and perceive them to be bad people just because of what you see on the news.

I respect women, however, there is a certain type of woman that deserves respect, dress, act & talk like trash, expect to be treated like it it's not right but such is life, but there are women who are just looking for love & go about it the wrong way, which is what this sounds like from her perspective, I have had girls like this & it's good in the beginning, they want you around all the time, don't get annoyed at you,  sex is great cause they do things to keep YOU happy, but it doesn't last cause it get's annoying & boring, the way of the world my friend,
But, if they can make jokes about us, why can't we make jokes about them? It's all in fun.
 
BTW- My girlfriend and I say some pretty nasty things to one another, but at the end of the day..
 
We have one bed & we're both stubborn so we both refuse to sleep on the floor or the couch, so we're stuck with each other :D
 

This is my take on it:
Even if it were possible to ban or outlaw guns in the United States (it isn't) I don't believe that it would make things better. Because what you have then is a populace without firearms, a police force that do have guns but take time to respond, and the criminals that will still have guns because there will always be a source, legal or not. The big problem that I see is that a lot of guns in crimes aren't legal to begin with.
 
My opinion, cynical as it is, is that nothing will have changed, and in fact crime may get worse, and more serious.

Also, while it may seem annoying to others on here to see "non-Americans" spouting off about gun control, and anti-gun and what-have-you, you have to keep in mind that in other places, that is the norm. They don't have rampant firearms like we do here. The situation is different; the culture is different.
Likewise, the culture here is used to having firearms. It is so deeply set that it would be impossible to try to change now.

Over the past couple of months we've had frequent outbursts of immature behaviour, primarily in the gallery, where members would upload pictures of models and other content, which other members would then question the legitimacy of - often times claiming the models had been stolen.  After working endlessly throughout these past couple of months, trying to understand the problem and directly contacting a lot of the members involved, we established that a) many authors of work, such as models, feel as though we were not doing enough to combat pictures of stolen models being uploaded, and that b) many of these 'flame wars' were motivated by other factors including simple vendettas or hatred towards both communities and authors themselves.  
 
In response to this, we've made it clear that in all cases where violation of the Community Guidelines is suspected, and most relevant in these situations, the rules concerning 'Plagiarism & Copyright', that the content was to be reported to us immediately, through the report button, and that no public accusations or attempts at backseat moderating were to be made.
 
Unfortunately, despite our efforts, these problems still persist, and therefore we have been left with no option but to make a formal, public announcement regarding this situation, and what is and what isn't acceptable content and conduct on LCPDFR.
 
Clearly, by looking at this latest incident: http://www.lcpdfr.com/gallery/image/27215-detective-2014-vapid-police-interceptor/, this problem is still prevalent, and no reports are being filed despite our repeated requests and messages stating that for us to take action, the content must be reported to us.
 
I want to make the following perfectly clear, that there is absolutely no place in this community for:
Members who cannot follow simple and reasonable instructions from our staff team. Members that fail to respect the work of others by claiming others' work to be their own. Members that are abusive to other members or staff. To give you an idea of the problem that we face concerning issues with theft, stolen content, or improper credits, since Monday 25th, October 2010, we have received 3,160 reports from members.  Of these reports, 263 contained the words 'credits' (56), 'stolen' (41) , 'permission' (74) and 'theft' (92).  It should be noted that in these cases, terms such as 'Grand Theft Auto' would be counted as a report containing the word 'theft'.  
 
Additionally, in the past two weeks, we've had three reports that concern the issue, with two of them relating to a member uploading a skin which contained a model and one about a texture which is being used without permission.
 
For a look at how we deal with such reports, I've attached screenshots of two recent reports, complete with the comments made on them by the staff team.
 
I've been told repeatedly, as have our staff team, particularly Nicolai, that theft and improper credits and acknowledgements are a major problem facing LCPDFR and the GTA community.  Despite this, and how large and widespread the problem is, we have only had 3 reports filed in the past two weeks regarding it.  We would certainly think that there would be more than three reports in two weeks given what we have been told by various well known authors, and therefore either content which violates our guidelines is not being reported, or the problem isn't as big as it is made out to be.
 
Of course, from the disputes and fights which we've had babysit, it's pretty clear to everyone here that there is a problem regarding theft, and that nobody is actually doing anything about it other than resorting to childish name calling, making public accusations, backseat moderating and making threats.  We don't have eyes and ears everywhere, and we cannot act on cases where no report is made.  If you think that someone has stolen your work, or that you have not been properly credited, or that someone is falsely taking credit for your work, please get in contact with us through the report button.  Under no circumstances should anyone take matters into their own hands - we will simply not tolerate further instances of immature conduct.
 
Similarly, if you notice any disputes, fights, backseat moderation or public accusations regarding this matter, please report the relevant posts to the Community Team so that we can deal with the user in question and help to quash the aurora of hostility that seems to grip some parts of our community at this moment.
 
This is a modding community - it is built on the principle of people sharing their work for others to enjoy.  Our staff team aren't here to run a daycare centre for immature and aggressive people.  Believe it or not, just about all of us are modders too, and we'd far rather be developing LCPDFR, making cool vehicles and sharing unique textures for everyone who is a member of this website to enjoy.

I realized over the years that in fact many people hate cops... Do I hate cops? No. Do I respect them? Only the ones that do their job right and justified. The thing that saddens me, is how the "bad" cops give every other cop a horrible image. I've noticed on YouTube that videos with cops doing something unjustifiable (or something people with no knowledge of law enforcement THINK is) tend to get more views and comments then a video of a cop doing something nice towards the community or something clearly justified. I've also noticed that the "many" who hate the men and women who have sworn to protect, are usually people who have had bad trouble with the law, had family who had trouble with the law, and people who just have absolute 0% knowledge of how law enforcement works! And the worst of the "many" are usually just people who just hate everything or people who have a horrible sense of humor (Like the dumbass, kadu, that posted a joke about 911 on the "Random" section today) And I'm sure cops hate helping the heartless, but they do... because that's their job. Sure, some cops are "Pigs" (Hate that word...) and don't do what they have sworn to do or don't do it correctly. But why don't we admire the MANY who do their jobs right. That risk their lives everyday to people, they don't even know. No coward could become an officer of law. But only a coward can offend an officer of the law. I myself have wanted to be a cop for years now (I'm 14) but how cops have been looked at... It discourages me deeply. All I've ever wanted to do is help others, protect others, and most importantly, serve others... And I feel many of you men and women here on this site, feel the same way as I am... And If you yourself hate police officers. Well I'm sorry for what a few officers did in a YouTube video, or for an officer putting you in cuffs for a DUI. The real fact is, most officers are true, brave and heartfelt men and women who, like said before, have sworn their whole career to protect and serve.

I use the one made for Lt.Caine's Tahoe, as my updated Tahoes don't require any fixes for suspension, I think that one works best.

Living in NY, I wanted to clarify this. Emergency Service vehicles are allowed only ONE forward-facing blue light, and that light must be dimmer than the other lights. Volunteer firefighters are only allowed to have blue lights on their vehicles.

The lighting files are:
emerglights.png (For the glass, and light-head textures)
emerglights_emis.png (For the actual light color)

I don't know what he used for the skin texture, name-wise. It shouldn't be hard to find, as it will be large, mostly blue, and look like an MSP car.

Police officers are largely unsung heroes. They are the street soldiers of my country, always in the front line every day. Most people do not appreciate them, until they need their help. That's the sad truth of things. I'm sure the same is true of our military budget. If we cut back and get invaded or attacked by another country one day, people will complain (if there's still a freedom of speech or free press after an invasion/occupation or attack) and say we didn't spend enough on keeping a large army with cutting edge technology and good training.
