A crazy dude jumped the fence a made it inside a few days ago imagine if he had on a suicide vest.

Here's the video I just heard about this, I would talk about the security of the White House but that's off topic, anyway the secrect service should be ashamed of themselves somebody needs to be fired!

  • Not to doubt the US, but they also said that the Titanic could not be sunk.

  • Yes, but the Titanic was launched early 1911. Comparing a boat to where the President of the United States lives is completely off the charts in my opinion.

White House Down has many flaws.

  1. The "TV/movie theater installation" people sneaked in silencers inside microphones, then kill the first guard to get his gun, and continue the same process until they are all armed, then use their weapons.
  2. They kill 2 guards to gain access to the weapons armory.
  3. They kill the 2 snipers on the roof, getting them by surprise.
  4. An 8 or 10 man swat team rushes in through the main lobby and gets mowed down instantly. They were taken down by 2 or 3 guys. They didn't even use stun/flash or smoke grenades. They had 1 or 2 guys with shields.  They did enter in a tactical sort of manner.
  5. The tanks don't to much of an attack to take out the snipers and men armed with Javelins. I know a tank gets destroyed because it advanced across the fence line, still they could have easily fired at the roof top.

What do you guys think of those flaws?
How would the secret service/police/military really do in those scenes?
Were the types of securities and the ways they were done inaccurate? Before and after the attack.

Scaftguy is right White House down along with Olympus has fallen has an incredible amount of flaws, I mean seriously in whd they would've blown up that truck chasing the president on the front lawn and OHF give me a break in less than ten minutes the FBI and the secret service and the police would be deep inside the White House by then killing all of the terrorists in the process no wonder these movies didn't get an oscar nomination.

Yes it's absolutely possible.

They said the Titanic was unsinkable (Struck iceberg, sank very quickly)

They said Vietnam could never withstand the might of the U.S. Armed Forces. (They did, and won)

They said the Colonies could never defeat England because it had never lost before. (They did, now the U.S.)

They said the Allies would win WW2 by December 1941 (They underestimated the might of the Germans during that period. War lasted until 1945)

They said the U.S. could never be attacked on it's own soil (Pearl Harbor/ 09/11/2001)

They said the U.S. government would never put it's people in harms way, nor would they test on their own people (They did it's declassified, MK Ultra for adults, and Project Monarch for the children, Disney signed up for it)

See a pattern?

The United States never officially declared war with Vietnam. So technically speaking, the United States didn't lose any war against Vietnam.

Not sure when people said that the US couldn't be attacked on it's own soil. It was attacked way back when the British burned down the White House...

You mean the war of 1812?

Well after WW1, it was declared that it was impossible for two reasons. 1, it was too far away for most planes at the time. 2, it was thought that the security in the country and within the coastal waters was too great. Both reasons were proven wrong.

As far as Vietnam, while the U.S. never did officially declare war, we did send literally everything we had at them, including the new "Agent Orange", Huey Helicopters, flamethrowers, artillery, and C130's, and we still could not take them out. We were forced to retreat in shame.

"No matter how large or sophisticated the Army, no man or Country can win a war against a united populous of determined men defending their homes, be they farmers or business men". -George Washington

First off great quote let me guess 'brainy quotes'

But with that aside the u.s can get a bit cocky sometimes like with that 'we can never be attacked' yeah right just about every country out there has been attacked I'm not sure about Sweden.

Sweden's been attacked too? Or in what way do you mean with "attacked"?

I'm not sure what "Brainy Quotes" is.... I'm guessing it's a website. But no, I've known that quote, and many others for a long time. I don't mean to sound like an elitist prick but I'm a very intelligent, deep thinking, and philosophical individual, so I typically enjoy finding out as much as I can about anything and everything I deem important or interesting at the moment. My friends used to tell me I was an ocean of knowledge ha ha. Sadly, I had to break off all friendships because I found they only liked me for what I knew or could figure out about them or the way they think, and react in certain situations.

But I'm way off topic, the point is it can be done. Though very unlikely.

This http://www.brainyquote.com/ but yeah thanks for all the answers guys.

Well recently there was that guy that got inside with a knife, apparently and ex-army veteran. However he probably got in because he wasn't really someone who they'd expect to do such a thing or present a threat. I highly doubt 40 odd guys could smuggle MP5's, RPGs, 50cal machine guns into America, they would attract some attention. Although its the most protected building on the planet it doesn't necessarily mean that people aren't able to take the building over, however it would take years of planning and lot of money (which i'm guessing would attract the NSA or agencies like that).

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

Anything can happen. Seeing how someone or two people recently jumped the fence onto the property, it can happen, but they won't be walking back out.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't know someone just said this... Umm. Awkward... *leaves room*

While anything can happen it is not likely on the roof of the white house there are not only snipers armed with high power rifles they have 50mm Gatlin guns up there as well as anti aircraft canons

I knew they had anti-aircraft cannons on the roof, are they automatic or manually controlled.

Yes, it's possible for any government building to fall if it's taken by surprise and up against superior forces. Some guy who was an Iraq war vet jumped the fence and made it close to the area where the oval office is a mere 4 minutes after President Obama and his family flew off to Camp David. The problem is that attempting to come up with operations like these will attract way too much attention in their formative stages and everyone is going to get caught before it even begins. Look at the people throughout history who have managed to assassinate (or even just attempted to assassinate) U.S. presidents or high ranking government officials. They were done by lone gunmen that the CIA or FBI didn't have enough information on, or weren't tracking well enough. Lee Harvey Oswald killed President Kennedy using a $20 Italian bolt action rifle because Kennedy's security sucked, the CIA and FBI dropped the ball and they let Kennedy ride around in an open top car. His motive? Nobody knows because he's dead, but it could have been all due to his upbringing and feelings of a lack of purpose and place in the world. Kennedy was not the first government official Oswald tried to kill. John Hinckley tried to shoot President Regan out in the open, next to a bunch of secret servicemen who did a sloppy job covering him and he nearly succeeded in killing him. His motive? He had an obsessions with Jodie Foster and wanted to shock her into loving him. Robert Kennedy was killed by Sirhan Sirhan, a random Muslim guy who had a theory (like millions of others, unfortunately) that the U.S. government had a secret agreement with the Jews to run the world and enslave the Arab people for some arbitrary reason. He shot him three times in a packed hallway with terrible security.

What's the coincidence with all of these?

They were all out of left field. You never saw them coming. Large scale attacks on the white house are probably going to be found out and stopped before enemy boots hit the ground. Some guy nobody's ever heard of with a twisted motive who doesn't communicate with others? Well... let's hope the secret service, the FBI and CIA have learned from their past mistakes. I'll point out that Obama and his family were not evacuated from the White House. They left on a trip, so it was sheer luck that they weren't around, not coordinated secret service interference.
