So thus far, an American and British citizen has been beheaded. While I do believe that the UN seriously needs to do something about this, I don't think that the American people are so eager to get into yet, another war. I'm sure that the American people wouldn't mind Air strikes against ISIS, but direct military intervention with ground troops wouldn't really be so popular.

I believe, and universally apply, the theory/thought that we humans don't use our brain to the maximum capacity. People like Einstein were able to, to an extent, and thats why they "invented" things. I'm talking about the ideas which are simple, yet unexplored, and the moment they flash in your brain you are like," Why didn't I think of this earlier? Its so simple it was right there in front of me!" Inventors are rare. And it cannot be said only about science. I believe that we are capable of finding solution to every damn problem, IF (and thats a bigger IF than you're thinking) we have got enough experts like Einstein on these issues. I'm just saying there are ideas we haven't even explored yet. There may be that ideal solution to it without the use of genocides or anything.

Special Forces are already being used, but they've failed horribly so far. Besides, I don't know what they hope to do, because ISIS holds provinces and land. They control whole parts of Syria. They're responsible for all the tribes and villages in places like Syria, Iraq and the like. They're responsible for the food, education, and delivering of supplies so the people in those areas are dependent on them. They're just breeding an unlimited amount of terrorists. While I'm against another war or conflict, I'd be okay with going in to eradicate these barbarians. In my mind, executing a US citizen because his is from the US is an act of war. How much more powerful are they going to grow before another 9/11 happens. Or they completely overthrow ME governments?

Same with all the SpecOps on the groung. We're fighting a resistance movement. But we need to be more direct in action. Not pussy footing around.

I mean we get you're a patriot, but every other US citizen trying to reverberate what the Hollywood/American media/American videogames try to portray "Only the USA/an American lonewolf can save the world; earth's fate now rests on their shoulders" is just ridiculous. I Have a hard time believing our Airstrikes are "Pussy Footing around" when you fall under the threat of being bombed to pieces at any point in time of the day, let me know if you still feel that way, i say keep the airstrikes going, maybe even open it up a little more, air strikes proved to be pretty effective in the Middle East over the last 20-25 years   I Could be wrong but i really think that would be enough to quell these assholes

I Know, i was just adding More on to what you were saying. I get the point you were making but also you have to remember that America is taking the Brunt of the attention from these terrorist's. Also most American's Don't have the Opinions you're trying to portray not sure where you're getting them from but the people who i talk to are quite the opposite. We would much prefer another country handling this bullshit we have enough problems in our own country at the moment.

It's the same problem when we were trying to get bin Laden. We have no idea where, or what to bomb. We're scared to bomb them, since they may have hostages there. Every place the SF teams have hit, have come up empty. As of now, we're getting nowhere. Besides, these guys are willing to blow themselves up for Allah. Us bombing them isn't really a big deterrent for them. If we've been bombing them for the last 20-25 years, look where we are right now. Still fighting.

Its okay for your personal imagination but at least be rational when you're discussing things like these on a public forum. And I have encountered people like this on this website, to clear your doubts, and its pretty understandable too, considering its a videogame's police modding-related website where most cops/wanna-be law enforcers/people with ethical values like loyalty, integrity and patriotism towards their nation are most likely to show up. But then again, obvious bragging is obvious and being one of the aforementioned doesn't discount you from that. Keep some cool, boys. No need to go all-hyper. Its just a goddamn discussion all in good faith.

 

And to address your other sentence, yes, I have bumped into Americans (on other forums) who think the US Govt. should rather focus on other more important issues like unemployment, national debt, etc. rather than bombing some armed chumps with twisted reasons for mass-slaughters they perform on a regular basis.

Ahhh.... The liberal vs the conservative.... While I'm all for isolation in the form of another "Monroe Doctrine", when a US citizen (non-combatant) has been executed for being an American, retaliation is needed. But in other areas, like Ukraine, we need to stay the fuck outta there!
