In our country, they sell it with names 520D (for old M5 E60) and and 550i (for the new one; in vid).Generally,we address them with the name "5-Series".

IMO,M5 E60 was much more beautiful and better in terms of looks and thats why I'd prefer the 520D over the 550i.

520d is not an M5. It's a 5 Series BMW with a 2.0 diesel engine. Whoever told you that, he either had no clue, or lied in your face.

An M5 is a 5 Series with full ///M equip, including the 560 horse power 4,4l Twin-Turbo V8. The 550i is by no means an M5, even though it features the similar engine (N63B44 instead of the M5's S63B44), it only has 408 horepower.

Thats what I'm saying.Visually, the models are same (520D and M5 E60 & 550i and New 5-Series).Here in the east, your BMW sells it with these names.Actual M5 E60 and new 5-Series are not sold here,at all. They have to be imported, straight from Germany.

520d E60/E61 and M5 E60/E61 are NOT visually the same, the M5 has a much lower, much more aggressive design, with a 4 pipe exhaust system and a really nice sporty design. It might be true, that in your country the new 5 Series isn't sold yet, but it's a lie that every BMW 5 Series E60 is a 520d. Let me explain the numbering for you.

5(model number)20(engine capacity in decilitres - might be higher than the actual capacity if the car has a turbo)d(engine type: d for diesel, i for gasoline - model variations are also here: x for xDrive, s for Sport, t in older models for turbo)

American doesn't know which European country it was... Son, I am disappoint. Whenever I see an American license plate I usually know which state the car is from.

Damn! What're you doing in Spain? Waiting for Frankfurt Motorshow to show up lol.JK

Anyways,I'm not claiming a 520D "exactly same as" M5,because I see 520Ds everyday and I've also seen M5 E60s.But they look very similar,I mean to say.

Speaking of Aston Martin,I've seen two here. Both were DBS.One in rage red and one in humble grey. The grey one I spotted was not very far from home. But I was in a bus heading off to college,so I didn't get enough time to click it.

LOL! Whoops.... Have fun in Spain...Leaving for the Canary Islands in a couple of weeks for some well deserved vacation time....

In case you are wondering.....I am an American living in Germany. I used to be a soldier stationed here in Bamberg, and when I came back from Iraq, I decided to get out and stay here in Bamberg.
