Hi, when I have ELS V8 and I want to change the light pattern on the control menu thing. how do I change it to like C-05 like that. I dont want E-01 anymore, it is too boring for me. How do I change it? I found a picture of what I mean:

I know that but it wont go to c it just stays like at E-12 and it is finished it goes back down to E-00 and keeps saying at E

all of the vehicles have that like police1, 2, firetruk, ambulance etc.

E, C an whatever else there is can be changed by changing "leds" in the vehicle config intowhatever you want. The options and corresponding letters are somewhere in the manual.

Can you show me a tutorial?

Also, since this hasn't been mentioned you can press Alt + U to go backwards in the primary light pattern, same for all the modes. In case you want like lightstage 10, and you accidently go to 11, just do Alt + U.

I know all of that stuff, it is just I need to know how do I go into the C part of the control panel. whenever I hit alt + U to go back and I hit alt + u when I am on E-00 it goes to E-12 and then back, and back. but never reaches C pattern.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the "C-00" pattern ID is reserved for either "rota" or "strb". Unless you change the secondaries in the config file, you won't be able to switch over to C in-game.

Go to GTA IV Directory. (Where ELS is)

Open the ELS FOLDER.

Select the configuration file for the car you want to change the pattern for.

Open it and scroll down, you will see:

 

These are your wigwags.

[ WRNL ]

Type = tkdn

UseScnNotTkd = off

ForcePatForLstg = on

PatId_Lstg3 = 8                           .

 

These are your Primary Lights

[ PRML ]

Type = leds

ForcePatForLstg = on

These are your Secondary Lights, or Sectional Lights. Usually these are Yellow (amber) color, on the back of the police car, usually in the back window, or on the back of the main Primary Lightbar

DisableAtLstg3 = on

ForcePatForLstg = off

PatId_Lstg1 = 2                         <---Shows what pttern will show for lightstage 1  

PatId_Lstg2 = 0                        <---Shows what pttern will show for lightstage 2

He doesn't want the letters to change he wants the patterns to change.

ELS6 is old. It doesn't have any "extra" lights.

What i showed above explains how to change the light patters for each lightstage and section for ELSv8.

Any older version, whether it be LCPDFR, ELS, or any mod/script, people aren't going to give support for. They are going to want support for the most updated version of whatever.

If he gets ELS6 and ends up needing help, almost anyone who replies will tell him to just get ELSv8.

Well if all he wants is the letters to change then he can download v6 all he wants lol.

I think if it's going back to zero, you should replace the default_config file and the SLOTCONTROL_ file as well. I assume you're using a clan's (which you don't want), so simply overwrite the default_config and SLOTCONTROL, using the ones that came with ELS. Also, I suggest reading the readme. That is the best place to find all of this, trust me.

These controls do not work for me even though els works just fine except for these keys to open the menus like my j,k, and l and my sirens and everything work just fine and I have it setup just like everyone else unless you have to change something in one of the ini files
