Do you find it necessary to save your game?

Featured Replies

This may seem like an odd question, but with saving as annoying as it is in GTA IV, do you typically save your game between LCPDFR sessions? I'm kind of undecided, as I often find myself in areas far from the save point. Does it depend on whether you've linked your crime statistics or not?

Well, I mean, get to a station, go off duty, then save.

There is no use in saving your game after playing lcpdfr anyway, seeing as it doesn't actually change anythnig to the game.

I save because I get to keep all the money I get from citing people lol (not to mention all the weapons!!)

Then I use that money when I play as Niko to buy stuff.

Yeah I just save before I go on duty and load that save after I finish. Idk I just like to make sure I'm clean from everything when I go back to story.

I don't. Since I am not done the story mode yet, I don't want to screw it up if I do something wrong in LCPDFR. Like arrest someone that is in the story.

"I said don't die. And what did you do." -Myself. "Why wear seatbelts. Nobody else does in Liberty City." - Myself. "The AI cops put more people in danger than the suspect does." -Everyone's thoughts. "I really needed that." He says getting run over by a cop. "Kill 'em" - My friend.

You don't need to save for your crime stats to be updated, they get updated automatically, say you had a total of 10 arrests, you go in game and arrest 3 people then you quit without saving, your stats will be updated to 13 people arrested.

if you save with the mod activated, then you have the risk of corrupted your game, never save when a mod is activated.. to be on the safe side, never save your game when you have mods installed.

Peds killed, distance driven, total playing time, shooting accuracy, etc. Those statistics change when playing LCPDFR, so why not save?

Who really cares about those stats anyway? I know I don't.

But to answer the OP: No, I'm still on the same save game as when I installed LCPDFR 0.95, with the story completed (for the, what, 8th time? ).

Like some the people said above me, not really recommended to save when running mods, esp LCPD:FR, just to be safe.

Also, if I want to patrol somewhere else, I just teleport to the PD there while inside the safe house.

That as I don't use crime statistics.
