ELS v8 Strobes

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am trying to get everywhere but no help, so I figured out that lcpdfr is the best way to post.. Anyway, I am trying to get strobes on the headlights. Does anyone know how to get strobes for the headlights? This would be really helpful with instructions also.

Thanks.

Go to the ELS folder in your main GTA

then look for default_config

open it with notepad and look for these settings

[ CORONAS ]
Headlights = off, 0
Taillights = off, 0
IndicatorsF = off, 0
IndicatorsB = off, 0
Reverselights = off, 0

Turn on which ones you want to have strobes, and pic a pattern from 1-5 for each!
Hope this helps!

Start by opening up the INI file that you desire to use.

Go down to "UseCoronaTakesdowns"; Switch to on.

From there, go to "Headlights" or "IndicatorsF" in "[CORONAS]" and switch to on.

After doing so, you can experiment with the different patterns by referring back to this INI file by switching the number "0" with a number 1-5 for different results. You can also do this with any of the other coronas.

Are you talking for ELS strobes? There is a setting inside default_config.ini that allows you to turn the coronas on and off. It also allows you to select the specific pattern that you want. The patterns should be defined in on of the ELS documents enclosed with the install files.

Here is a pic in the default_config.ini that shows the coronas. The default_config.ini is located inside the ELS folder in you GTA or EFLC root folder. Open the default_config.ini and scroll down to the coronas section, then replace "off" with "on" for where you want the lights.

EDIT: Well damn, in my posting, I got ninja'd twice! lolo

The patterns range 0-5 as Chevy said, though you cannot switch them in-game. >I've posted a thread with more information on it here.

  • 6 months later...

I am having trouble with the coronas still. I have set the ini file as specified UseCoronaTakedowns = on and

[ CORONAS ]
Headlights = on, 0
Taillights = on, 0
IndicatorsF = on, 0
IndicatorsB = on, 0
Reverselights = on, 0

I get the strobing on the ground but nothing in the actual headlight. This happens on multiple car els models not just one.
Right now I am using teh CHP CVPI Pack: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

I hate to dig up an old thread but it seems most of these threads are old anyways and my searches are not helping.
Thanks

Is your file actually set to be in use in GTA? Go into the file called "_SLOTCONTROL" and make sure the car you are using is assigned to the certain config.

So let's say I have a vehicle in the "police" slot, and I just added a custom config from a car I downloaded. Once the file is in the ELS folder, i'm going to go into "_SLOTCONTROL" and look at "POLICE" and i'm going to see:

"[ POLICE ]

Status = on
File = sheriff"

BUT WAIT! The file I want to be in that slot is called "CHP Config"!

So you simply change the name of the File. So it should be:

"[ POLICE ]

Status = on
File = CHP Config"

I forgot to mention this, yes. The ini supplied by the pack gives me police.ini. I have installed that into the ELS directory and set the File = police

This is kinda hard to illustrate with pictures but this is what happens:

Front right strobe on: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/39735969222801034/6CBDD4E31A244EF2BA9238531A4117389D8564D4/

Front right strobe off: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/39735969222801848/9ABDBF6866DFE63BFA8045FF5F48221BC8C9B278/

As you can see the headlight does not flash, it just stays on because it is night. In the day the lights do nothing, no flash, just off.

You can see the light being casted on the road tho but not the headlight.
