I will definitely disagree with the "no one uses teamwork or tactics". Uh. I do. My friends do. Many youtubers (LvlCap, Westie, ect) do. Sure, a lot of randoms don't give a rip, but you can't say "not a single battlefield fan uses teamwork". When my friends and I play BF3 or BF4, hell, even COD when we used to, we'd always be in constant communication giving callouts, updates and we would each be one specific class. Sure, if we were playing OP Metro, we wouldn't need an engineer, but we'd have 2 medics, a support and a recon with a PDW/Carbine to push up and place motion sensors and spawn beacons.

 

True, most randoms won't give a rip, but true fans of Battlefield will work together. That's what makes Battlefield, Battlefield. 

Except if you play on a 64 slot server that uses auto balance like I do. Ok I was being a little harsh in saying nobody does. You get some people, but I watch a huge number of unique players come and go and there are some regulars on the server I play on and most people don't even know they're in a squad. Use you as a spawn point and that is about it. 

Yay, we have the budget and resources to make an original police/SWAT game but why bother, let's just do another casual and generic FPS...

Oh, and let's not forget about a good amount of DLCs which should have been included in the game, because costumers love to pay for half assed games.

I'm buying this the second it comes out. I have special senses for things like this.

Also, did anyone notice that you're partner in the Campaign (in the tan jacket) looks like the Vice Detective in LA Noire? (Ah. Good times getting yelled at by him. "GODDAMIT PHELPS!")

I just hope it's like Counter-Strike where you can pick teams.

Pretty sure it wont be accurate to real life police or S.W.A.T just another FPS game with a bunch of shooting and little police work, I probably wont buy it the day it comes out, I will wait a bit to hear reviews and wait for a few DLC's. I still don't like the fact that it is being developed by EA. Can't wait though!

Slightly off topic, but ever heard of the show "Mob City"? (it was cancelled unfortunately, It was super good). It was about a LAPD captain (Neil McDonough) in 1947 trying to clean up the streets from Mickey Cohen and Buggsy Seagul. It featured Jon Berthal (Shane from the Walking Dead), Jeffery DeMunn (Dale from the Walking Dead), Simon Pegg and a few others. It was really well done.

 

Anyway, I bring it up because there are a few guys who were in LA Noire, most notably Michael McGready who plays Rusty Galloway in LA Noire. It was really cool when I he said something for the first time. I was like "Rusty?" haha.

I'm a huge battlefield fan, I have been since day one. I didn't even bother with BF4 yet because I felt it was a pander to the masses rather than a ideal driven and mechanic driven game. This, however, even if it's just a re-skin, has me excited. I guess it's just the cop thing but it feels fresh, new, exciting. I'm actually looking forward to a new Battlefield game for once, even if it's probably just the same crap with new models/skins.

EA would never want to stop leaks. It's also practically impossible when you invite players from around the world over Email to come and try out the game for a while so they can collect both networking and system optimization info in the back ground.

 

   Leaks are what drives the industry these days. I could've cared less about this game and even more less about any shitty trailer they release that's all hyped up. But put the word "Leaked" in front of it, and it suddenly becomes secretive, exciting, and almost a peak inside the studio.  It's exactly what EA wants, hype. And it gets that through beta gameplay footage leak and also the trailer that I just saw that was leaked that got me even more excited. It's a innovative way to draw both old and new people in and I see no way of EA wanting to stop it. It's a great business decision, and not by accident at all.

I do have to say, that siren is awful. Sounds like crying children to me. I hope they work on the siren and the look of the police cars. And I totally understand that this game is a beta. I'm still excited for it.

The cars are kinda nice too, I saw a beautiful SWAT truck, I hope it gets converted into IV, there are barely any SWAT trucks out there. The cars aren't accurate to LAPD, neither is Watch Dogs to Chicago.

Well supposedly all the footage from the leaked gameplay is at least 6 months old, this could be old footage too. Who knows. It is scheduled for a Nov. release. Beta is coming to PS4 soon.

LvlCap has been very hard on Battlefield lately, with reason, it's still buggy and not very smooth, anyway, but he says that they've fixed what was plaguing BF from the getgo. Gives me a little hope. I'll still probably buy it when it comes out, I'm a big BF fan, and I can't wait for the E3 demo on the 9th.
