What Is Your Opinion On Cop Haters?

Featured Replies

They fought the law and the law won. They talk tough to cover up the embarassment of being man-handled by a cop EASILY. I have no criminal record and have no issue with cops. In fact, every cop I've ever dealt with has been, kind, courteous, respectful, and generous. These cop haters are just wastes of space and oxygen. They are pieces of shit who in no way belong on this planet. They are keyboard warriors with rapsheets, felonies, probations, and arrest records. They are angsty teenagers who find it fashionable to say "fuck pigs" in the hopes that someone will notice and find them interesting enough to talk to them about their myspace page and the "dark and deep" song they have linked on it that expresses everything about them.

These cop haters are also the quietest person whenever a police officer is in their vicinity. I'd absolutely love to see them say that to a cop's face, but they won't because they're too scared. And that's why they hate the police. They're too stupid to know better.

People are like that because they don't know any better, people are scared of getting arrested or think they will beat them senseless, me on the other hand, I treat them no different then I'd treat a friend/ customer, if he/ she is an idiot or I think they're being unreasonable, i'll tell them so, what are they going to do? arrest me for freedom of speech? problem nowadays with ppl ARE the keyboard warriors, can't just say it like it is, which is quite sad..

^^^^ I agree 100% on that, I know a group of people just like that & NONE of them have ever had issues with cops.

My opinion is that they're amazing people.   they wake up, put on their uniform and leave for work.. knowing that at any time they could get killed. They do a job that hardly anybody could do, they

Depends on the reason for hating cops, if we're talking about America. You have those so called "Badasses" who think cops are scum of the earth and don't deserve to live. To those, I quote a wiseman who was a cop on a military base: "Everybody enjoys when everybody does their job. No one is unhappy when everyone is doing their job. When the mechanics go in and fix planes, everyone is happy. When SIGINT interprets communications properly and yields good intel, everyone is happy. Hell, when you call Pizza Hut and  the 17 year old kid gets your order right, everyone is happy. But when a cop does their job and arrests you for driving under the influence, suddenly you're worse than the Nazis. Everyone has a job to do, and the world function better when everybody does it right."

If we're talking about the people that are scared of Uncle Sam because they sent a few d*ck pics to a GF while they were drunk, and believe we're becoming a Police State.....God help them........

On a somewhat related sidenote, I went to see a Rage Against the Machine concert and loved it. But when they played "Fuck Tha Police", you should have seen how many people left for that song.  :teehee:

Why should they just be fired? They should be charged with the crime they committed and given the maximum penalty, as they were granted the power to investigate and enforce the law they broke. Take this story for instance. Philadelphia police robbing stores using search warrants that were issued based on known lies for "drug paraphernalia" (small unused baggies, which are legal, otherwise they wouldn't be manufactured). Despite dozens of complaints and a video of the cops cutting the surveillance system, almost all of the cops suspected have been on desk duty for the last few years making $60,000 without overtime, and almost no follow up investigation from the FBI probe.

Or there are all the inexcusable shootings of pets. This just happened a few days ago. If some one goes into a backyard that doesn't belong to him/her, then that person has no excuse to shoot a dog in that backyard.

To rub salt in his wound, they followed that by arresting the owner.

While I strongly dislike cop haters, I agree with this post.

Cops are generally given a lesser "punishment" for a crime/wrong doing they commit.

Although I don't say to throw a officer into jail in most cases.   But (depending on the situation) at least a temporary suspension with or without pay (again, depending on the situation) should be done.

The officers robbing the stores is just plain corruption & abuse of the uniform.

It should be followed up correctly, & if found to be true, those "officers" should be fired & charged for their crimes with maximum sentences.

In the other case which you mentioned about the dog, the owner should not have been arrested, but given a warning......well, more like told that although they appreciate how the dog is trained, they should have also trained the dog to not attack/run hostily at a officer in his uniform.

With that said, the officer could have either tasered the dog or shot into the ground surrounding the dog. At most, if the dog still continues to run & lunges at the officer, hit it & continue chasing after the original suspect. Shooting the dog seems a bit much, imo.

Although, since we don't know the exact circumstances before & after the officer & suspect reached the backyard, we can't really judge exactly if this was the exact & only option left for the officer to execute.

I can understand why people do not like cops. Most of the officers I've met are pretty nice people, and are genuinely trying to help people. but, I have had an experience or two with a few bad ones. One experience I had was at a bus exchange. I just hung out with a buddy of mine, and I was waiting for a bus around 10:30pm when two transit cops walked up to me and asked me for ID. At the time, I was only 15 and didn't have any gov ID, I had school ID card but it was left in my locker. Anyway. When I told them I didn't have any ID on me they tried to make me empty my pockets, when I asked them why they wanted me to empty my pockets, they said "it's the law, and you have to". Being the smart ass I was I said "Yeah, no thanks."  They then yelled at me saying they would "take me down" (one officer even had his hand near/on his gun) and also said they would "ticket me" for 20 minutes. I was 100% calm, and cooperative. Once they realized they weren't getting anywhere with me they ever so graciously let me off with a warning. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention they took my bus ticket away and I had to pay again. They refused to say what I did wrong. All i was doing was sitting down with my hood on in -10 weather listening to my ipod.

I hated cops for good while after that incident. It's been in my experience that people hate, or are negative towards police only because of bad experiences with them, and I think that is perfectly acceptable.

I think young adults, and teens that hate on the police need to stop being fucking douche canoes, stop breaking the law, and if you do break the law, don't be a little bitch about it and make it hard on these officers, maybe they'll treat you better. simple as that.

That's just what I think about it.

Also, this topic on a website like this? pretty sure you might get some biased opinions. (is that even the right wording? I don't know man. its tired and i'm late.)

Why should he be given a warning? The dog did what it instinctively does as a member of the pack, protecting the leader of the pack from a potential threat. The responsibility of shooting the dog lies solely on the officer and the suspect, not the owner. It's not the owners fault his dog was fenced in and responded to what it thought was a threat.

Also, that uniform argument is invalid. Besides the pure unlikeliness of that situation happening, there is no training available for that and it would have to be done over time, like a family member or friend that visits in uniform. Some police departments make it a point in training for K-9s to ignore uniforms in case of officer impersonation.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

I think young adults, and teens that hate on the police need to stop being fucking douche canoes---

I know this is way off-topic and you have my apologies, but FUCKING WIN! Douche Canoe? I--I don't even know but I can't stop laughing. I am going to apply this to my everyday conversations in real life, with credit to you, of course. That's hilarious.

Heh. Douche Canoe.

Ahem, I digress, and once again apologize for the off-topic.

This was terrible.

I don't like having to hit the "Like" button for such a post, but I do truly respect the importance brought up in that video.

I think a "Respect" button would be good in these cases, but that's just an idea.
