I am looking for a free webstie domain so I can start my own clan, and get a Team Speak 3 Non Profit Server. Any ideas? What does LCPDFR use for a domain?

Although, these domains aren't really taken seriously by anyone. Is an expense of $10 really too much for a proper .com domain?

If you want to have a proffesional domain, you buy a .com adress. There's no free pass for that. As for a free teamspeak server, that will be hard too. You might be able to find cheap hosts, but not a completely free. 

 

As for LCPDFR, you can do a whois lookup for that information.

Yeah, I have heard the same. 

I've been using http://www.jimdo.com/ multiple times. It's very, very easy to use and you can get really good and professional looking results. And of course, it's free.

If you are only just starting up you can use Google Sites (free to use) for advertising. But this will not get you a free server so to run Teamspeak etc.

You need a google account to use that though obviously.

You will also be limited to your clan's domain name being https://sites.google.com/site/CLAN_NAME_HERE/ <-- not a real link

 

Generally speaking if you plan to keep your clan going though it is best to buy a domain (and hosting) and get a proper website up and running.

 

Yeah, don't use .tk domains since they're just masked domains and are rarely indexed by Google.

 

As well as this, there are rumors that the dot tk service actually steals your domains back if you get high levels of traffic and sticks Google ads in place of your website in order to make them money.

Damn that sucks (the stealing part).

I personally have nothing against free sites like that putting adverts on so long as they are not impulsive and too frequently placed so that they blot out your site. After all you are getting a free website, that costs someone money.

It's not a coincidence that .tk domains are both free and not taken seriously. Part of the reason .com is taken more seriously is that the $10 barrier to entry means there's at least a minimal investment in the site.

Try http://www.jimdo.com/ or http://www.webs.com/  100% free sites and i have used both before and they work great.
