IDK, Looks a bit too much like GTA 4...Most "Fake" Images of a new and upcoming game are usually based off the previous game (MW3 Fake pictures for example) Who knows, No doubt, The graphics look great, Im a bit sad on how small map is though :confused:

you have to remember that this runs off the same engine that GTA IV ran off of. It could be fake, it could'nt be. Idk. It is still in development so things could look the same right at the moment.

Well if it was a member of the quality n testing team then maybe, maybe I might expect a leaked image to show it's being played on a console. Yes I know it's gona be realesed on console but the development images are unlikely to have a console menu. Unless as I said it's at last testing quality phase .

Airport on an island is a genius location ! <edit: just noticed the runways on the main landmass so that's not so odd. Though no point in landing a plane on that island as there is feck all there.

There is a freeway, but the flow of gameplay driving around that map was designed by a 3 year old. Love the one road in and one road out in most of those isolated towns. Too small and too repetative a feature. And just love the insane sphegheti road plan on the right where one road goes north south but meanders around all over the place with no features at bottom right.

The other screenshot he manages to get has no cars or other noticible game items whatsoever. He must have searched for such a boring shot lacking in anything noticible.

Oh. and I hope there are boats or the main character is a good swimmer cause that's a lot of water.

It uses the same engine as GTA IV though so it probably would look a lot like a modded GTA IV. It is really hard to tell. I'm going to say fake but only because I want to optimistic and think there might be a larger map :) Even though this is still in development, and if that was a real snapshot it's possible half the map has yet to be implemented yet.

You should feel proud to wait for such a good game as a new Gta , But yeah, Id agree, It would take a very long time for it to come out, but I just hope R* doesn't rush the game out like most game developers theese days

Ahh I see now, Thanks for clarifying, I was going to say, EXACT game engine woulda killed it , dont get me wrong, The RAGE engine is a great engine, It just needs a face lift :smile:

Hmm.. The way the main character is standing there on the first picture reminds me of the way.. Niko was standing?

Don't know... maybe fake, maybe not... It is possible that this is really GTA V, but with these pictures there's no way of actually telling.

I have to admit, it looks a bit too small to be "the biggest environment R* has ever made", but if you look closely at the Los Santos map, you can see that there are side streets marked in grey, just as they are in GTA V, so maybe this map isn't so small after all.

And I have to say I do like the general concept with the little towns, the big space between them, and also the mountain and lake in the north. And I would like to hit the road on these long highways.

Also, if this is the map, then I am quite sure there will be some kind of Sherrif's Department/State Police/Highway Patrol as the rural areas make up more than half of the map.

So, to sum it up, I do hope this is GTA V's map - also because if the game is this far, then it won't be so long until release...

The first image is pretty much known to be fake. Just a photo shopped picture from GTA. Though I not sure about the map, I'm kind of hoping that's fake too.

Nice find. Well done.

I know that sometimes fakes are hard to spot but tbh i was amazed anyone took those images seriously. The map looked like something from the 1980's ffs. Half expected to see leisure suit larry driving on it :p

The whole design was not fluid and would have been a horrible game play experience.

And the other giveaway is if you are gonna leak something you don't leak the most boring pic you can find with no detail or content.

If i had of been wrong I would have eaten my words and eat humble pie, but my previous comment was based on what seemed so obvoius to me.

Which why I choose to use colourful language :)

Okay, so it's fake. I didn't really think it was real in the first place, but I didn't think the map was that bad - which is why I wrote that I hoped it was the real map.

But, hey, R* doesn't do not bad. They do epic.

So, looking forward to some really big, really epic GTA V map hopefully to be released within the next half year by an official source :biggrin:
