Im sorry if I sound harsh, but I notice some people stating the the norm of players are not having crash issues.

 

Well here are my two cents.  After fixing a huge oversight in your alternative automatic installer, I got it installed properly and verified with your diagnostics tool.  This is into a fresh installation directly from steam.  I load up a save game which was created directly after the first mission in the game.  I load up and get into gear, select my car, and off I go, I get behind a vehicle and attempt to hit my shift key to signal a vehicle to pull over.  I immediately crash.

 

A fresh install of both GTA and only LCPDFR.  Not more then 4 minutes of gameplay.  I wouldn't be so quick to assume many people that are having crash problems are not foregoing submitting support tickets.  I will be writing up a full support post in the morning with detailed and relevant information, as its almost 1AM here.  But I just hate seeing people almost seeming like they are degrading a user stating people are having issues like that.

The problem is that most people treat LCPDFR like we (read: the team) has obligations to fix every issue like we are a huge team. LCPDFR is NOT a huge team. Crashes happen. Welcome to the world of GTA IV. They are extremely normal, as GTA IV is unstable, even without mods.

Check again.

First to calculate this, first check the downloads of 1.0. These are currently at 683,740. Now, count the posts of people having issues.

I'd say almost 80% of issues are caused by the inability of people to follow the instructions. The rest of the issues are bugs with the software, which the team will fix in our own time, and which most are fixed in 1.0b.

 

Also please don't think of the support forum as a support ticket system, we don't do a support ticket system, we have a support forum.

You're free to use LCPDFR, but please don't think you are entitled to anything from us. There is no warranty and no guaranteed support from us. You do not need to use the software if you don't want to.

You did not pay for the software. It is freeware.

ok so this finally helped me to get into the game and activate the lcpd buutt when i go to police station  and try to start it starts telling me what room to fill my energy and choose partner and then kicks me out the police station back to driving tony, now while driving tony it switches to police station in a room upside down with police offers and displays the same message up top again and then it go back to regular game.. so wierd

Have you finished the first mission? If not, try doing that.

LCPDFR is an auto installer, which means it installs itself. The only thing you need is GTA IV on the PC and the game to be patched to 1.0.7.0. If you're having issues, please create your own topic in the appropriate forum section.

Nope, that only works when you're asking a pedestrian for his/her ID.

Ok so I'm now to lcpdfr and I istalled LCPDFR 1.0b but it crashes every 20 min or so, and there is now sound with the radio calls, can anyone help me?

As has been said before, it's done when it's done. Same with all G17 Media products. It's a free mod, no estimations can and won't be given out. Be patient and show respect to the development team who develop this mod in their own spare time.

I was just wondering if the developers has started with a new one? I didn't want to know that I should show respect, because that's what I'm doing. I haven't said it SHOULD be started, just curious..
