NB's LCPDFR 1.0 videos!

Featured Replies

I'm back with more LCPDFR silliness/LAPD training videos!

I'll have new LCPDFR videos every Monday, Friday and some Wednesdays.  The videos are split into three series, Monday blues 'n twos, Wanted Wednesday and Felony Friday. They're all LCPDFR and they will probably be a little bit silly and stupid.

Here's the video from today, Felony Friday episode 1:

The mods I used in the video:

CARS

The Chargers aren't finished yet, they'll be released next weekend if everything goes well.

COP PEDS

Uniformed cops - made by Sam, they're bloody fantastic. Not released yet.

>Plain clothes cops - made by Olanov.

SIREN

>cpt. MacMillans Federal Signal Smart Siren 2000, the best SS2000 mod!

HANDLING MODS

>Sgt. Kanyo's handling lines, they're essential for a good driving experience in IV.

ENB

>Game4Video's ENB with the timecycle files from >ENB SFE.

MISC

SNT v6.5

>TrafficFlow

Less cops

Realistic helicopter sounds v1

>Indicator script by lil-rich

Less Overtaking

Gun sounds and physics mod

No Intro, logos and faster game loading mod

>Improved police computer background by me!

Nice video! Mind if I give you a couple tips to make your models just a wee bit better and more realistic?

The highbeams are the inner headlight modules, and presuming you have headlight flashers, that's where they should be.

The brake lights are not the whole taillight assembly. What you currently have set as the rear turn signals are where the brake lights are on the real car. What you have set as the brake lights now is actually just a running light that stays on with the headlights.

Glad it was helpful! I know you probably don't see Chargers on a daily basis over in Denmark, so I thought I'd give you a lil heads up. :)

What you're saying about the headlights is exactly what I was trying to convey to you. Your models are excellent, so I didn't want to see a silly little discrepancy taint your future releases.

I appreciate it, unfortunately:

It's very likely that I'll have to cancel the two Chargers and give up on the base model itself. Zmodeler seems to change random things that are either difficult or downright impossible to fix or even notice. Some polygons had their materials removed, the driver side door and boot was moved without me using the move tool.

I updated the model over the week, I added new seats and reworked headlights and taillights. At some point the default material ended up corrupting, resulting in a material error upon export, it also adds a material called "vehicle_generic_small_specmap gta_default" that keeps appearing regardless of what I do, the error appears regardless of what I do, re-importing the model and deleting the material doesn't do anything.

I have tried just about everything to fix this from merging or importing to a new scene or into a car model that works fine (impala, CVPI, Tahoe). The error keeps appearing regardless of what I do.

It's at the point where I'm insane if I carry on. The model looks fine and works well on its own, but there's absolutely no way of knowing if adding just one piece of equipment will render it useless, I've spent many hours on it so far, I honestly should have let the model go much, much earlier.

The lesson learned here is that you cannot make something good from something bad, the unlocked R/T model I used was awful. Every material was set up wrong and it has a bunch of mesh errors. Don't for one second think that this was unintentional, the base model was provided deliberately broken.

I seem to have fixed the cars!

Here's a quick non-commentary video of a crazy pursuit and shootout:

Watched Felony Friday #4 for the possibility of seeing a classic Danish Ragequit.  Was very disappointed.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

Entertaining vid as always, NB!

APD must have quite a lighting budget if they're willing to throw that many Vertexes on the rear bumper. You know how LC drivers drive!

Amazing and entertaining stuff as always! Your ENB makes the game look so great. I've never commented as much as I probably should have, so please forgive me, but I've been watching your videos for quite sometime, and it was you who brought me to LCPDFR. Thanks for sharing them and please keep up the great work!

Also, I can't wait for Sam to release those police peds.

Thank you for this. Also How did you Change the ELS Tone?

Is that something you have to Change in Game or with the

(Havn't seen the others yet N' I would like to know what

Nicolai, would it be an idea to release the cars with the liveries you've currently got and release the rest when they're done?

Anyway, great video as allways. I can't get enough of hearing you swear at the AI =)
