Alright I kept reading that everyone should start their own thread so here it is. When I go ingame, I can't start lcpdfr 1.0. I tried changing the keys to a different one, but that didn't work, also there's no red circle at the police station, so I assume it doesn't even load. This is what my lcpdfr.log file looks like:

------------------------
[INFO - 12:38:21 PM] [Log] Started

[INFO - 12:38:21 PM] [Main] Main: LCPDFR Engine (C) 2011-2013 LMS

File name: 'AdvancedHook.dll'
   at freval_187.fr0()
   at freval_187..ctor()
   at LCPD_First_Response.Engine.Main.eval_fr4()
   at LCPD_First_Response.Engine.Main.fr3()

The "A megadott modul nem található." is in hungarian and it means "The given module cannot be located." I assume that advancedhook.dll doesn't start with the game.

I used the manual installation, I deleted the old lcpdfr, including all the files it used (like liblua51.dll and Lua4Net.dll), after that I installed every single file you guys gave me, even stuff I already had (advancedhook.dll and scripthookdotnet.asi).

I don't get an advancedhook.log file, and this is how my asilog.txt looks like:

Could you perhaps try using the manual installation and see if it works then?   All you should have to do is extract the zipped folder into your IV directory, then choose either dsound or xlive from the ASI loaders folder - I'd recommend xlive in this case, just for testing.  Make sure that you replace any files it asks about.

Ah that's what I used before, I used the manual installation. Now that you mention it, I didn't replace my dsound.dll with the one provided, since the asi loader hasn't been changed since patch 2 or 3. At least that's what I've been told, the only thing they had to change when a new patch came out, is the .asi files.  I'll try to replace that as well, but I don't think that'd fix my problem.

EDIT: Also I wouldn't like to use xliveless since that disables the mp feature, which is pretty much the only thing I play.

EDIT2: Well just tried it out, nothing changed. Also since it only pops up for a short amount of time I didn't see it before, but it says "error in script lcpdfr loader:loader" or sth similar.

Since I was able to push the same problem one step further I'd suggest to download "Dependency Walker" and open "AdvancedHook.dll" with it. After that post here the missing files that DW will show you.

[ERROR - 12:38:21 PM] [] System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'AdvancedHook.dll' or one of its dependencies.

The thing is one of the dll's is missing here, finding it in a dll-library and putting in the game folder might help.

I've just downloaded it, and it said errors were detected when processing advancedhook.dll, see the log file. Well I can't find any log file, also while it did open the .dll file, I have no idea what this tool does.

EDIT: Not sure if this helps, I'm on win 7 64 bit

Edited by Sgt.Kanyo

Is it worth noting that I have exactly the same error message, namely this one - Error during Tick in script 'LCPDFR_Loader.Loader' and I'm also using Windows 7 64 bit.  Perhaps theres a runtime or dll that is missing in Win 7 64?

I'm going to try installing XP on a different hard drive, installing steam gta 4, then installing this...

Alright, try the following:

Download and install: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

Download and install: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

There's no problems with using WIn 7 64 bit, that's what I use on my PC, where much of LCPDFR has been developed.

Looks fine to me, although it should not automatically reference the x64 dlls, but should use the x86 dlls. In DependencyWalker please choose Save, and upload the saved file here (or PM me if you don't want others to check out your system).

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

Just want to add this up in there.

But also helped another guy with this issue today, and what i did for him was to "Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsPrograms and Features"  And then Change/Repair the .NET Framework 4.5 installation. (repair)  That cured his issue.
