Though back to V and its AI, I was online earlier (yeah yeah) and I absolutely hate the police spawning. I was up by the windfarm and had a police copter emerge from the ground and I got a wanted level for colliding with it.

WTH? I was minding my own business and couldn't go anywhere since it spawned right under me and went straight up to go join a pursuit.

I remember seeing that "story" on the GTA V site. There were two other stories (One of which was based on a real life incident).

Something kind of mentioned but glazed over was that the cops use pretty advanced tactics in shootouts.

I went to a grove street controlled neighborhood, killed a gang member (getting about 15 or so people to shoot at me) and then used cheats to summon 6 or so LSPD representatives. They made a V shape with their cars when they responded, all ducked under cover there and took out most of the gang members from afar. One wounded officer was dragged behind a police car by his partner, who then touched his shoulder mic and radioed 'for an RA unit'. A few gang members had gone down a back alley to find me. The officers ran to the front door of their cars, grabbed shotguns (probably the coolest detail) and then moved in a cover-contact (They even called out "Push" "Cover me" "Moving up" when it corresponded to what they were doing) formation up the road to the last gang members. They killed the last guy, but didn't just imediatly drop their stances. The kept moving up until an officer had line of sight on the final perp. He called out "Clear", then everyone dropped the stance and stood around the bodies while the paramedics went to work. 

Suffice to say it was awesome.

Nope, I did this in free roam with Franklin. Just upped my wanted level to 2 stars, shot a gang member, ducked when his friends fired back, waited for the police to engage them, and then dropped my wanted level.

I made sure to pay special attention to the police when I played GTA V friend gave me 10 minutes to play it and, I was so excited about there being an LSPD after that I cannot wait until the PC version is out.

I like how the LSPD cruisers have LCPD laptops. Check in yourself if you don't believe me.

Rockstar re-used some old resources from the previous game. It's stupid that little details like a new laptop or a firetruck logo just couldn't have been made right. 

I just bought myself some ammo at ammu-nation and left the store with a taser in my hands. A guy and a lady standing in front of the store started yelling at me. The lady left and the guy said he's gonna call the cops. He drew his cellphone and actually called 'em giving me one star.

 

I called the police to an empty road at night to get their car. I couldn't trust my eyes when I saw Trevor's truck chasing me a few seconds later... The bastard stole my car lol

my thoughts on the GTA 5 Ai is good but too aggressive. Pursuits could be interesting but the speed of the cars would have to be nerfed a shit-ton due to the fact they are as fast as bugatti's (I say that in a sense of, they are really REALLY fast). They dont hesitate to ram you off the road right away, and with the lack of car physics (Unless there was an update, I havent played GTA 5 in over a month) its kind of just un-realistic getting rammed off the road with only dents or a scratch in your car. but hey, mods can be made and it IS a Grand theft auto game.

 

The new system of finding you when you hide is pretty improved, however they do tend to know your general location almost instantly. I cant wait to see how good LSPDFR will be, If gta 5 would come to pc already :D. And maybe this time it wont be as un-optimized as gta 4 or ported over from a console ;=;.

 

The medics and such seem to just investigate the body and walk away, so a coroner mod would probably still be needed in place for dead body's in the future.

 

Calling in backup should be interesting due to the fact you have NOOSE that come down from helicopters, and police barricades at your disposal. and with there being one bank implemented in the game there could easily be a bank robbery callout to be adjusted. Hopefully the developers figure it all out quite well when the game releases for PC, and we see LSPDFR pretty quickly, but stable obviously (Dont rush it).

 

Thats just my simple thoughts, then again its late, tired and not really thinking of much more than this. I just really think the cops should be less aggressive in pursuits and in general.

 

But we have time until PC version of GTA 5, so lets worry about LCPDFR 1.0 first :)

Seeing as it isn't in the form of a sticker-like logo that you would slap on a truck, it looks more like an actual department's logo. I wouldn't doubt that it isn't original logo considering all that Rockstar did was convert the same model over to V.

You're talking about the triangular-shaped logo, correct? To me it looks like a sticker. That's just what I think.
