Gta V Police Ai

Featured Replies

As great as the improvements are there are still lots of opportunities to make them even better, like having police use the batons, tasers and even police dogs would be great. Maybe mods can help there though.

You could have also mentioned they use their torches to searc, although i'm not sure if they are scripted actions or if they will do it dynamically.

  • Actually, I disagree. Police in GTA 4 doesn't have x-ray vison - I was able to successfully hide from them (I could even see them passing by!). Unless they bring the helis, that is.

  • The thing that I find exciting is, when/if lcpdfr becomes lspdfr we will actually have a cuffing and walking the to the car with cuffs on animations! :D  It's just the little things that make rocksta

  • Oh damn, seeing this makes me want to play a potential GTA 5 "LSPDFR" mod already....

When I spotted my first LSPD CVPI on the streets I stole it thinking I would get away as easy as in GTA IV. I was totally surprised and impressed by the skills of the cops. They rammed me pointedly and I drove in front of me and wouldn't let me pass. In the end I ended up dead on the street.

But I think they open fire to quickly. In my opinion there should be 6 stars, with two stars they try to ramm you but do not shoot you.

Am I the only one here who hasn't been chased or ever seen a female officer on GTA 5?

They sometimes appear at stations (from what I've heard) but they do not pursue you "out in the wild." I've had 20 minute 5-star gun fights in the metro stations (loads of fun by the way) and there's never a female officer even though their voices can be heard on the radio.

Looks awesome. I do agree that the Police do sometimes shoot a little too quickly. Would be nice if as soon as you turned to run, they didn't immediately open up on you.

Female deputies also seem to have the same voice as the LSPD officers. I was chased by a female deputy in a car and she shouted "LSPD!"

I have never seen one of these end in anything other than a shoot-out. That's pretty interesting.

that's from one of the missions not the random events though similar set ups are

Nice thread! Got me ever more excited for a potential PC version.

Thanks!

I agree completely. I wish they'd use they're tasers and batons as well

Yeah, I see them doing that action every once in a while at night. I wish they'd use they're spotlight instead.

Yeah, the officers in GTA V have a drivers license now. I love (although hate :P) when they ram me off the road. It's fascinating to me lol

I agree, they do fire too quickly. I thought (Before the release of the game) that they'd use tazers and batons due to hearing a YouTube video. When I first started playing, I wanted to see if they would taze me at 2 stars. I was sadly shot to death...

I did see an LSPD officer on the side of the road use the vehicle spotlight, When I drove by slowly and creepy like he used it to watch me.

That was only once though

Apparently, they aren't using their spotlights, but their flashlights, or so I've heard from Olanov.

Yeah I am in my game right now, cruising down the highway in my black series sls and found a Sheriff and his vehicle, and he has using his flashlight, until he saw me doing burnouts and lit me up and started a pursuit ;p

This would be a pretty sweet mod, because there is pretty much a script/animation/model for every police mod that has been put into GTA IV. Plus I don't even know whether or not I would mod the cars, Rockstar did a much better job with all of the new cars in V than IV.

The FD IA is also a lot better in than GTA IV. In IV they responded said, another prank call and left. Here they will put out the fire w/ the deck gun and they brought back the extinguisher from SA, so they use that too. I think it would be cool if they did a combined mod with EMS, FD and PD, just because there would be a lot less scripted to edit IA, that is why the guys who made SAPD:FR were able to make LAFD:FR so easily, all the stuff was already in the game.

SO, I was letting my mind run the other day, and I thought how cool it would be if Rockstar released something like this in DLC.

Sorry, not w/ G17, but these were part of the 3D Universe games. Release a Computer for all of the Vehicles that has access to LS Central Dispatch.

The Computer would start like the selection for the Emergency Services like on the cell phone: And you can pick a call

-FD: Fire /Car Fire /Plane Fire --> Fires w/ deck gun and extinguisher

-ELS: Car Crash (injured ppl only no fire)/ shooting (w/ shooter around)/ person down (general) --> Revive People and Transport them to a hospital

-PD: Stole Car (Chase)/ Gang War (shootout)/ Warrant (like bounty hunting) --> Arrest and transport to station or kill in shooting

Three types of calls for each service. Could gain points to increase your level online after a certain amount of calls completed. Could have big calls for multiple players responding.

     My Ideas for the DLC:

-SAHP Cruiser (Like CHP skin, but the vapid cruiser model)

-SAHP Uniform (not bike officer w/ the smokey bear hat)

        -LScFD (Volly) Turnouts

-Fire Ladder Truck w/ Working Ladder

        -Fire Axe (melee weapon)

        -Fire Extinguisher

        -The Emergency Service Computer

Maybe even a DLC storyline, just another Idea I had, join the corrupt SAHP and do stuff like the California Gold Taxi service like in NCIS:LA (episode Empty Quiver according to IMDB)

Mt point, after typing down all of my ideas, is that if Rockstar keeps going with the Online and DLCs the way they are going, the optional and opportunities are endless.

I remember that episode :D

I still hope R* will release a Cop DLC, the 2 Border Patrol missions were already fun to play. They'd be stupid if they wouldn't create such a DLC, all basics for such content is given and they know many people love playing as a cop

Edited by OfficerBaboso

Something kind of mentioned but glazed over was that the cops use pretty advanced tactics in shootouts.

I went to a grove street controlled neighborhood, killed a gang member (getting about 15 or so people to shoot at me) and then used cheats to summon 6 or so LSPD representatives. They made a V shape with their cars when they responded, all ducked under cover there and took out most of the gang members from afar. One wounded officer was dragged behind a police car by his partner, who then touched his shoulder mic and radioed 'for an RA unit'. A few gang members had gone down a back alley to find me. The officers ran to the front door of their cars, grabbed shotguns (probably the coolest detail) and then moved in a cover-contact (They even called out "Push" "Cover me" "Moving up" when it corresponded to what they were doing) formation up the road to the last gang members. They killed the last guy, but didn't just imediatly drop their stances. The kept moving up until an officer had line of sight on the final perp. He called out "Clear", then everyone dropped the stance and stood around the bodies while the paramedics went to work.

Suffice to say it was awesome.

Suffice to say it was awesome.

That's really startling. It's the first time since cops have actual advantage based not on their spawns behind every corner. I remember in SA LSPD usually was less effective in shootout that gang members when they were outnumbered at least 3 thugs to 2 cops. And in IV it's just a shame how they do shoot-outs with other NPCs. Especially obvious it is when seen during LCPDFR. I had two Noose teams on 5 suspects armed with SMG and rifles, so agents took cover behind a fence (all 4 of them) and fired blindly straight in the air around three meters higher that perps were. Finally one agent got one in the head, so I had to shoot every one myself.

And when I first saw LSPD pursuing some gangsters, I thought they'll be wasted, just as usual. They stopped the car (4-door with 3 thugs), and one officer was shot dead right after leaving the VSPC, another one took cover at the door and managed to kill a perp in a few shots, other hid themselves. Then suddenly another police car arrived, one officer was armed with a shotgun, and they cleared the scene nice and quick. I don't know was this unit just passing by or was a backup, since cops never used to call for back when dealing with NPCs.

All I want to set up for now is to make Noose fight some gangsters, but it's really hard since I hate those controllers and Noose is quite deadly.
