  2. Yea, they all have squad cars. They still do traffic details and use them on official duties like transporting files, inmates, or just driving to training. I'd be surprised if any of them actually have computers in them.
  3. Yea, regardless they look very, very nice. @Troopercharles Tha Paddy Wagon ~ In the thickest Boston accent imaginable
  4. Just for reference, you know the Suffolk County Sheriffs don't patrol, right?

  6. Make them buy their own boots. Black Boots or Duty Shoes. Get a Duty Belt and Belt Keepers Issue them gear for their belts; Flashlight (or at least an O-Ring if your dept has a Maglight pool), Flash light Holster (Will vary by light), Pouch for rubber gloves, Radio Holster, Singular Cuff Case, and a pair of cuffs. I suggest pooling different sized Duty Belts, they can pick them up when they go on ride alongs or do events. So you don't have to buy each explorer their own. Or risk one of them losing a piece of their's. Nylon is much cheaper than leather and doesn't require the same maintenance in the long run. Simple and Cheap are the two best words for an Explorer Uniform. I suggest a different color uniform shirt than what the sworn members of your department wear. If the sworn members wear all navy blue, then I'd get black pants with a light blue shirt. If the sworn members wear tan over olive drab, then I'd suggest gray over black. And so on, lighter color on top, not the same as sworn officers to avoid mix up. Get them a long sleeve and a short sleeve uniform shirt. Make them buy a clip on tie to go with the long sleeve shirt. Dark pants that go with the shirt. Ballcap and a Uniform Hat. Because god forbid something terrible happen, you don't want to be at a funeral or some other memorial wearing a ballcap. I like badges, but they run at about $100 a piece. So I'd get an embroidered one on the shirts. Have a jacket pool they can take from too. Jackets can just be black for cheap costs and black jackets look alright on any uniform. Here's the security section of Quartermaster, has some cheaper selections for clothing. Just my dreams if I got to redesign my old post's uniforms. Good luck man, stay safe.
I love the car, it's nice and simple. I've had it both as an unmarked unit and I've put a texture on it as well. With the sheriff texture I added, it worked great alongside another marked charger I had in the sheriff slot. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to make this model, I really appreciate being able to use it.
  7. It doesn't edit of the original game files. It makes a new mod file. Everything relevant to this car is in its own independent folder under mods in openiv. Is there hubcaps in this model? I haven't found any yet, but I'm also a buffoon and wouldn't be surprised if I missed them completely.
  8. Anybody else seeing this, or is this just me?
  9. I've been having trouble with this script, I can't get the enhanced traffic stops menu to appear on any stops, self initiated or callouts. Any help would be appreciated, I would be fooling around in the .ini and everything is set to true.
  10. " hey, can you release this unlocked or are you going to do this model" jkjkjk But seriously, I haven't been this stoked for a model since the first FCV with hubcaps came out. Fantastic work, I can't wait to see your next project. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will find it's way into my LSPD like the rest of your works. Great job, keep it up!
  11. Lol I just found this yesterday on Mediafire, via youtube, and I was so pumped. Glad to see it's easily available
  12. Love the car, and the charger. Can't wait for the f150!

  14. I figured out the texture command, I feel some shame after how straight forward that part was. But no more green hair! Still cannot figure out how to remove the dunce caps and bullet proof vests in the cars. <VehicleSet> <Vehicles> <Vehicle>police2</Vehicle> </Vehicles> <Peds> <Ped comp_shirtoverlay="55" comp_shirt="0" comp_decals="0" comp_face="0" comp_accessories="58" comp_pants="35" comp_task="0" comp_hair="2" tex_hair="2" tex_task="5" prop_head="1" comp_shoes="24" helmet="false">mp_m_freemode_01</Ped> </Peds> <NumPeds min="1" max="2" /> </VehicleSet> I have tried both "task" and "tasks" and that has changed nothing. Still going through openIV trying to find all the components that are giving me trouble. I have found the all the stock uniform parts. The components and textures are named the following: face beard hair shirt pants hands shoes eyes accessories tasks decals shirtoverlay The props are named the following: head From what I can tell so far, "face," "beard," "tasks," and "decals" have done about dick. I'm barely spending 30 minutes a day on this now, I'm surprised I've gotten this far. But I'll keep updating.
  15. I haven't, I was trying to make my own independent thing at first, but I'm going to take a look at that now.
  16. Hey guys, I'm not a scripter and I have been wondering how I could contribute something of use to the forums. I've been working on getting the Rockstar varient of the MP LSPD uniform, (NOT Emergency Uniform Enhancement models), to show up as back up in Los Santos Along with the regular LSPD Officers. I have gotten the basics down, but have hit a few snags. Snag 1) Officers spawn with the dunce cap. I am not sure how to remove this issue because the backup.xml file does not state anything about headgear other than a helmet. Snag 2) Officers have bullet proof vests on in the cruisers But, for the most part, (with one or two exceptions), the vests despawn when the officers are on foot. (Notice the passenger of this unit) Then the vests will respawn while the officers are getting back in their cars. Snag 3) Officers have green hair. I expected this, I am aware there is a way to select textures in the backup.xml, but I couldn't find a proper way to implement it, if anybody knows, that would be very, very helpful. This would also be the key to adding color to the external bullet proof vests which could be used for Local SWAT Units. Below you see the stage I currently got to with the backup.xml <VehicleSet> <Vehicles> <Vehicle>police2</Vehicle> </Vehicles> <Peds> <Ped comp_shirtoverlay="56" comp_accessories="59" comp_pants="36" comp_hair="2" prop_head="1" comp_shoes="25">mp_m_freemode_01</Ped> </Peds> <NumPeds min="1" max="2" /> </VehicleSet> While this isn't a complex issue, I figured I try to go through the tedious work of diversifying the LSPD. Then, hopefully by the time Realism Enhanced Dispatch v3 is released, I could have this down enough to diversify multiple agencies with the EUP mod. For the mean time, all I plan to implement is LSPD patrol officers, (male/female), and LSPD Local SWAT Units, (hopefully male/female). [This is the cruiser in case anybody didn't know]
  17. I was thinking for the dead body callout, be able to drag it like AI Cops do for their down brethen.
  18. Need for RDE Update intensifies Awesome work! I'm wicked excited
  19. You need a four year degree for the National Park Service. It's not explicitly stated on their requirements like everybody here will tell you, but they want it. Based upon all the departments you have listed, I am assuming you mean NYC's agencies. In that case, they will want college or military experience. You don't need it per requirements, but they want it and will probably not hire you without it. NYPD needs at least 60 college credits, (associates degree), so these smaller NYC agencies will probably want the same. Also NYPD is a two year wait, if you get hied. So there are plenty of applicants for all those agencies. You are going to be seeing similar situations nationwide. Washington state is hiring like crazy now, if you are of age and believe you can hack it, drop some applications off at them. If you don't have a degree or military experience, and want to be a cop, Get it. You are not, I repeat not, going to get hired off the base requirements, which are usually set fourth by the state, not the department itself. Once you get into a hiring pool, you will be up against others with law enforcement experience, military, degrees, department connections, late 20s to late 30s year old canidates with excelent work histories, etc. If you're a day over 21, with a high school degree, and 4 years of 20 hours a week at dennys, you're not going to get hired.
