If so please put down why.

I have wanted to be a cop ever since I was a kid it started when I saw a  cop standing at the rail road tracks holding up the crossing guard for us (the railroad track single things went off for no reason during the pouring rain.) I remember seeing him standing there in his rain coat holding up the crossing guard for my bus, and I remember saying to my friend sitting next to me "I want to be a cop" and I remember him saying "Just don't be a cop for Milwaukee you will be shot!" Take note we were in 4th grade lol... After a while of learning more about the job I loved it better and better, getting to help people but also being justice to those who deserve it. I remember the first time I went out on patrol by my self as a explorer making sure people were staying safe, and helping people out with directions and stuff, then when that 5 year old kid came crying up to me and the officer I was standing with and we helped him find his mom it just put a big smile on my face. That's when I knew for a fact this is something I will want to do and will never get sick of.

Right now i'm a a police explorer at both of my departments, and i'm currently doing a internship with a different police department (well i'm out of the internship but they like me coming back and riding with them)

In January I plan on becoming a community police officer/ Police Aid.

Haven't decided. Not quite 'ready' yet, while I could try in theory.

If I don't become a soldier, civil servant or ... something similar, then it may be the Federal Police. Why? Just seems to be the right thing for me, to work for the state and thus, also the citizens.

Usually federal police require prior experience in law enforcement (up to 8 years of experience for some places)

Do federal *police*? I know federal investigators tend to require prior LE experience (though I'd assume specialized relevant experience, such as forensic accountants applying to IRS Criminal Investigations, would also work), but do uniformed federal security police (e.g. Park Police, Capitol Police, FPS, etc.)?

I am going to finish high school then go to college for 4 years and get my degree in criminal justice, during college I will be reading up on ways to pass the police exam, during high school I will join the SFPD Cadets, a program that will forward my education in law enforcement.

If you guys know anything that could help me even more please do :)

I want to become a Police officer some day aswell. I have wanted to be one ever since I was 5 years old. I remember visiting my dad at the local State Police headquarters. One time, he gave me one of his old stetsons. I brought it to show and tell the next day  lol

No not Park, Capitol or anything like that, I thought he was talking about FBI or Secret service or something like that.

I personally have always been interested in law enforcement but currently plan on pursuing a career as a firefighter.  Next year I will start in the fire science program at my local community college.  Its a hard choice for sure but the fire service seems more appealing to me at the moment.

havent decided, I wan't to be a firefighter in Boston or a cop in Boston

We have a saying in my explorer group and that's "Crazy as a fireman"

But firefighter is a good career to get into to, my teacher use to be one for 8 years before he become a cop then later on a CPT in the PD. But these are the words that came out of his mouth when he quite "This is to easy i'm going to go become a cop" lol...

Thats pretty awesome! I've heard another from a few of my friends in the fire service, "people wave to firemen and flip off cops".  There is always a rivalry in emergency service it seems.

As far as your teacher, I may end up doing the same if it turns out I'd rather be in the LE field.  I would imagine having boots on the ground experience in emergency service would probably be a pretty good thing to have on your resume.

I know a officer that is full time fire fighter and part time Cop, but you could do it the other way around if you wanted to. Full time fire fighter and part time cop. If you like both just do it that way lol.

You don't need law enforcement experience for the FBI. You need one of each of the following lists:

All applicants for the Special Agent position must first qualify under one of five Special Agent Entry Programs. These programs include:

  • Accounting
  • Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Language
  • Law
  • Diversified

After qualifying for one of the five Entry Programs, applicants will be prioritized in the hiring process based upon certain Critical Skills for which the FBI is recruiting. The FBI is currently recruiting for Special Agent candidates with one or more of the following Critical Skills:

  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Computer Science/Information Technology Expertise
  • Engineering Expertise
  • Foreign Language(s) Proficiency
  • Intelligence Experience
  • Law Experience
  • Law Enforcement/Investigative Experience
  • Military Experience
  • Physical Sciences (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, etc.) Expertise
  • Diversified Experience

Law enforcement is just one of the qualifications.

I actually hope to join the FBI after obtaining my CPA license, which requires me to get a Master's degree in accounting (2.5 more years of college) then work under a CPA for one year.

Edit: Oh yeah, I also have to take the CPA exam at some point in there.

Not in Canada :D you can be an RCMP Officer at 19 or 20, I think, I know that there was 1 in Nunavut that was 19 or 20, unfortunately he got killed..

Side note: I wanted to get into LE but I think I either want to be a Sheriff for the Nova Scotia Sheriff Services or a Vehicle Compliance Officer for the Nova Scotia Department Of Transportation, being an Officer in Canada is ALOT different than the U.S, RCMP you go to Alberta for 6-11 months, Halifax Regional Police you got to PEI at the Atlantic Police Academy for 6-11 months.

I've got a small job as a bartender at the moment, I'm holding off on joining until I have a small place of my own and I'm around the age of 22-25

I'll then be hopefully joining Sussex Police as a normal officer, later transitioning into the Roads Policing Unit (Traffic)
