Definitely security guard. You can see them getting shot up in the bank robbery scenes from the trailer. Besides, a deputy sheriff would have a star-shaped badge (not a shield-shaped one), green trousers, and a tan shirt.

This is the new Vapid cruiser. It has always had these logos on it. Only the Buffalo and the Taurus-like PC don't.
