Your City or Town's New Police Models

Featured Replies

This is more for people who live in the U.S or Canada but European people can also post if there department has upgraded their police cars to newer models. Post pictures please. My city has gotten both the Taurus and the Explorer but I can only show the Taurus. And I just wanted to show everyone the new Toronto Police Explorer and Taurus.

All the following vehicles entered service this year 2013 or late last year. The current trend is that the Met is doing away with the old red stripe "jam sandwich" livery and enforcing new battenburg liveries on all of their new vehicles.

I live outside of a large metroplex, so I'm posting what cities in the DFW metroplex have. Most of the agencies in the rural area I live in aren't going to upgrade for awhile...they'll stick to their Chargers, Crown Vics, and Tahoes.

The small town of Alvarado, about 15 minutes from me, has added one new Caprice to their fleet.

Another small town, Keene (about 5 minutes from me) has added one of the new Chargers to their fleet. No pics unfortunately. Their fleet right now is pretty small...1 Crown Vic, 2 Tahoes, and 3 older Chargers.

Fort Worth Police have added the Taurus, Caprice, Explorer, and Tahoe to their fleet. Prior to these additions, they had no SUV's...it was all Crown Vics, Chargers, and '06-up Impalas.

Haltom City, which is a city just east of Fort Worth, has added a Camaro to their traffic division. And they use it too...I've seen it with a few people pulled over.

Arlington has added a few of the new Chargers.

So has Dallas.

Texas DPS has added new Chargers and Explorers to their fleet. I haven't seen any of the Explorers yet, but I have seen 3 of the new Chargers (2 here in north Texas, the other in south Texas near the Mexican border).

Though, I'm not going to add pictures of these, I have seen other new police vehicles from other agencies outside of my area.

-Cameron County Constable, 3 of the new Chargers

-South Padre Island PD, 2 of the new Explorers

-US Border Patrol, new Charger and F150 Raptor

-Brownsville PD, new Caprice

Our sheriffs department recently upgraded to the 2012 Dodge Chargers and our police department got 10 Chevy Caprices. Saw the lights and saw it patrolling twice now....

GCPD in MD switched to a CA/NV-style B&W livery recently. MCPD also switched to a new livery, ditching the one they've been using since 2002. At first, I thought these were some promotional recruiting liveries, but they're actually standard. Personally, I like MCPD's livery from 1979-2002.

Here's WA's newest addition, the SV6 "Concept Car".

Base markings (No state logo)

I've only ever seen one of these cars myself and that was just outside the city center. I love the lighting setup on them.

I see these all the time in Tassie (These or slightly similar markings are for our Traffic Division) But since they started them back in 2011 or 2012.. I have only seen 1 Holden Commodore with these markings... The rest are on the Falcons
