ABOUT THE GAME  Precinct takes players on a police adventure as officer Maxwell Jones in the corrupt town of Fraser Canyon, CA. Starting out as a rookie and then moving up the ranks, players face adrenaline charged scenarios and conduct real police procedures while solving crimes and arresting perpetrators.

Looks like it has potential. Hopefully there will be some MP support!

This looks like a Walking Dead style of game, you don't have full control of the character and can only move slightly and select from pre-determined actions

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

That game looks terrible. I don't think I need to go into detail as to why. Good concept but I can tell at this rate it's going to be poorly executed even after a half million is spent on it.

They literally just started making the game and already people are complaining? It's like saying a book will be a terrible read before it's written...

Because of this, I just went and played Police Quest (the first one) and Blue Force. I love Police Quest (except having to figure out what it actually wants you to type - usually it's obvious though) and the part of Blue Force before you go on disability is amazing (the part where you actually are on duty as a police officer). The only thing I wish was different was that you actually drive to the places instead of just clicking on them in Blue Force.

The majority of "the book" in this case has already been written. The game engine's already created, that's how they have a tech demo available. I'm not saying they can't polish it more, but the real game most likely won't be much different. They'd have to redo all of the animations and voice overs to make that little demo impress me the least bit. It looks like someone with no game industry experience wrote it by themselves, which probably is indeed the case. So nothing against him, but the game looks pretty bad and most likely will be with a small inexperienced coding team and only a half million in the bank at most.

I'd love to have a LA Noire sequel (NY Noire? Set in a 60's environment? Cold war and crime? I'd be up for it) or a LA Noire for policing, instead of a point and click adventure - my experience just is, that point and click games suck.

Well obviously you've never played Police Quest or just didn't like it. Precinct is being made by Jim Walls...the creator of Police Quest 1-3. He's been retired, so no he doesn't have any recent game industry experience, but what he does have is police experience. I can tell you're the type of person that cares too much about how a game looks. This isn't being made by Rockstar, Activision, EA, or any other big game company so it's not like it's going to have top-of-the-line graphics. Police Quest is from the 80's and is played in DOS...so, honestly, I'm expecting something more similar to that and will be happy with that.

Edit: Also, look at Minecraft and how successful that is. Does it have proper graphics and animations? Does it look like GTA or CoD? No.

Minecraft looks that way because it's designed to be nostalgic, not because the animators haven't made a game in 30 years. It also doesn't take 10 seconds to navigate and click a button to perform an action and get a response when you play it. It's not the 1980's anymore. I don't want to play a game of that caliber. I want to play one that's been made this year, which means it has a proper physics engine, fast pacing, good story and is something that plays well in general. Mark my words, when this game is finished, if it's finished, the only thing going for it for anyone on this forum will be that it's somewhat of a police sim.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have another L.A. Noire with a little more GTA things added to it like having a house and things to do outside of main missions. Still keeping with the character, however, where you would get penalized for running people over and being reckless. Police Tactics will have to do for now, I guess, which looks like it will turn out really good if the Alexandre adds everything he says he wants to.
