Have You Tried This Traffic Fix?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I came across this yesterday and thought I'd try it out. The author claims that it uses all 84 car models in GTA to fix the taxi bug. It loads 26 random models at a time, wipes them and then loads 26 new random models, as a result you get a more diverse traffic flow. I've tried it out, it's in its earlier stages, and seems to work fairly well. Just thought you fine folks would wanna try it out.

You can find the rundown on the mod here http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=481572 Just make sure you use the download at the bottom of the original post, it's the most recently updated.

Tried that a couple of days ago and although it does indeed make the traffic more diverse, I didn't see 26 different models at the same time.

I still prefer using traffic flow since I saw no difference between the two and with traffic flow you can edit the file to your own liking.

"Dura lex, sed lex"

My recommendation: Traffic Control System V1 + Traffic Flow V5R2

That's probably the best anti-taxi-bug fix you can get

You have to let the mod run a while to get the full diversity, or so the author claims. This one is still in its early stages of development, so perhaps we'll see some improvements. I haven't tried Traffic Control System in combo with TF5, I'm going to have to check that out.

TF to spawn responding emergency vehicles and vehicles that are common and nice to stop.

TCS to spawn every vehicle in GTA IV.

thx i'm gonna try that too

I tried it, works fantastic. TF spawns your core traffic while TCS spawns the cars you need to make it so its just not the same cars over and over. Thanks for the tip Break.

I thought you weren't supposed to use both at the same time because they cause conflicts with each other or more frequent crashes.

I use only TrafficFlow v5R2 from sam. It's pretty good. I never get this taxi bug again.

TCS is good too, but I got more crashes with it, so I removed it.

I don't get crashes either, the two in combination make for a fantastic flow of traffic. With just TF I get clumps and clusters of traffic here and there, with TCS added in it's a smooth steady realistic flow.
