It's an odd attitude change from Rockstar, as GTA SA and GTA 4 sales were certainty advanced by the modding community.
On our social media platforms and on the forums here alone, we hear a lot of people just buy GTA 5 for modding it. This is a truly depressing turn of events if true, and I can't see myself funding Rockstar Games/Take Two in any way in the future if that's the case.

    Hello everyone!
I'd like to offer you a sneak peak at the development of one of my two new callout packs!
These callouts/features are focused on the less GTA side of policing!
There is no current release date, it will be done when I complete all of the following and feel as though it is stable.  I'd plan on at least 3 weeks, but most likely more.
Included with the release will be the following:
    1. A personal, integrated MDT - containing report writing functionality, a map of LS, and (potentially) a ped database (although it may not tie into LSPDFR).  This alone has taken me about 10 hours to complete to its current stage (seen in pictures below).
    2. Accident callouts that require the player to simply direct traffic in an area - my plan for these is to have the player respond and maintain control of the scene (you may be first on scene or last, I plan on making that dynamic).
    3. Community policing - a feature that will get you out of your cruiser!  I plan on making it force you to walk around an area (like a shopping mall, convenience store, etc) and forcing you to talk to people.  Something may happen, but most likely not.
    4. Reports of
         a. Shots
         b. Shoplifting
         c. Racing individuals
         d. Etc.
The above will require you to talk to the reporter and write a detailed report regarding the situation.  I plan on incorporating some sort of feedback mechanism using the MDT to see whether you got accurate information/remembered it all.  (Maybe, we'll see).
    5. And more I'm sure!
Here's a sneak peak at the basic MDT.  I plan on incorporating more features to it (specifically suspect information in the reports cause I forgot that hahaha) as well as a navigation bar at the bottom so you know where you are.
**IF YOU HAVE DECENT EXPERIENCE WITH MDTs IN REAL LIFE PLEASE PM ME AS I HAVE QUESTIONS** **ALSO IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCED IN GWEN FORM PLEASE PM ME AS I ALSO HAVE QUESTIONS WITH THAT**
Please not this is V0.0.0.1 of this system and it WILL change.
Here is a video preview!  **PLEASE NOTE FRAME DROP IS FROM MY COMPUTER, NOT THE PLUGIN**

He's a liar, plain and simple. Before he was suspended from LCPDFR.com, he claimed to have "exclusive access" to the LSPDFR Modification before it was even publicly released in one/several of his videos. Nobody but the staff team/testing team ever had access to modification. This has always been the case and it was extremely blatant that he was using a different modification entirely yet people still somehow believed him. Those "LSPDFR" videos racked in thousands of views.

I can only assume his goal is to make as much money as he can off of ignorant people, and he's doing a good job at it. Just look at how many advertisements are placed inside his videos. The first one I clicked on had four in-video advertisements, and one advertisement off to the side. No legitimate YouTuber who cares about their fans would put them through that many advertisements in one 15 minute video.

That's most likely not the script causing you to crash, just the amount of activity in your game going on. Your PC can't handle that many AI police units on screen at once apparently.

SAM -Can you add features in the future such as.
1 - Armed Robbery (Heist): A bunch of criminals rob a convenience store or a store in general and you have to chase them down (You arrive on scene as they are leaving)
2 - Bank Robbery: Like Armed Robbery except you have to take down suspects inside of a bank, and save hostages (Make sure no hostages are harmed)
3 - Police NPC stops, pull overs. - Ability for NPC officers such as state police, county and city PD to pull over NPC vehicles, arrest and write tickets. Adds immersion.
4 - Gang Related Violence: In Grove street and other locations have it to where a gang has formed wearing a certain color and caring weapons, you have to arrest or eradicate the gang.
5 - Homicide Investigation/Murder Mystery: Allow in the future the ability to analyze a crime scene and find out clues about what may have happened, sort of like L.A Noire.
6 - K9 Support Unit: Add the ability to have the LSPD Police Van to carry a K9 in it for drug searches and chasing down suspects.
7 - Drug Busts: Have the ability for stakeouts on suspects and buy-busts.
8 - Most Wanted: Much like GTA IV's Vanilla vigilante system offered, a police most wanted list of fugitives in Los Santos and San Andreas who can be hunted down, arrested or killed.
9 - Terrorist Threat/Attack: This is a far-shot but perhaps a modder or the LSPDFR team in the far feature could consider adding a terroristic threat or terrorist attack as a rare and very crucial callout, perhaps someone has planted sticky bombs all over vehicles and has exploded them or has hijacked a bus or plane. Stolen a Military Tank ect.
10 - Ability for arrested suspects (You arrest) to be able to have a backup officer or call in a pickup for the arrested. Like LCPDFR offered, when you arrest someone the ability to call a unit to pick them up or take them back to the station yourself.

Does anyone like my ideas or are they in a way flat and bland? Please let me know if you also would like to see these features added.

xDodox reacted to Cbeck133 in LSPDFR 0.2 Review / Suggestions for future
    UPDATED: 07/17/15 @ 0545 EST

Below is my latest review and suggestions for LSPDFR 02.  I want to point out that this review in NO way is intended to insult, discredit or otherwise upset anyone involved.  I know that the G17 team is working hard at this mod and there are many more features planned and work to be done.  I fully understand that there are many components left unlocked and features yet to be explored.  With that being said here is my review

Stability:  As far as stability goes there’s not much to say but HELL YEAH! I currently run at least 4-5 plugins and 5-6 texture updates on top of the LSPDFR mod and there are no negative side effects to speak of.  After playing on LCPDFR for so long and then coming to this brings a tear to my eye and I can only imagine how the developers feel being able to play without consistent crashing.

Gameplay:  I found that there is still a lot to be desired in terms of gameplay, but for me at least the game is now playable in its almighty glory.  With the release of LSPDFR 02 we see a much deeper sense of gameplay that wasn’t available on its first release such as plate checker, ability to run names etc.  Many minor bugs and glitches have been fixed from the first release and we get a very smooth play through.  Below is a list of minor annoying problems that might need addressed at some point but doesn’t diminish the game at all.

    ·         When accessing the police computer eliminate any additional key assignments so were not turning headlights on and off.  Many keys are assigned to plugins so not sure if you can block out the assignments as well (I’m sure you could)

    ·         Back-up units don’t always exit or quit after showing up, some officers remain on scene for some unknown reason while other just walk away leaving the police cruiser sitting on the highway.

    ·         Back-up officers run across a very active highway getting themselves killed before being any help.

    ·         When working with a complicated menu system such as the one developed it’s tough to navigate and operate the menu while in high speed pursuits. (Check suggestion)

    ·         When asking for ID the information disappears to quick, must run to police cruiser or write down the info prior to typing it in. (See Suggestions)

    ·         Whoever thought it was a good idea to have an attack helicopter for noose…. I hate you in the most loving way.

Suggestions:  Please take note that I fully understand that many of my suggestions may not be possible at this time, I do feel as I should bring them up but in no way DEMAND for them to taken.  I’m also sure the developers have already thought about or are already working on implementing them into the mod.

    ·         Have an integrated ALPR into the squad cars, many police vehicles have multiple cameras so they can see both forward, left and right at the same time.  I would like to see the computer blimp the cars on the screen (Radar) to alert you along with the flag (reason) for activation.

    ·         When asking for ID have the information stay on the screen until you clear it manually or until the information requested is returned to take its place.

    ·         When working with the in game menu have the events slow down like Franklins special ability, this will give players time to navigate through the menu options without causing a 523 car pileup on the freeway.  Also may be helpful when you request roadblocks as it would allow additional time to set it up.

    ·         Ability to search pedestrians/vehicles

    ·         Ability to ask passengers for ID

    ·         Ability to have pedestrians return to vehicle.

    ·         Change the arrest animation to passive/aggressive arrest.  Suspects who are not resisting can/should be cuffed normally not by dislocating their arm.  (I’m remembering a scene when poppy Mitchel was arrested normally not sure if that helps)

    ·         Ability to detain suspects / release them

    ·         Taser should have 90% success rate making criminals comply / doesn’t kill

    ·          Ability to turn off active callouts or at least have the ability to adjust the ini file to the frequency of callouts.  Shouldn’t have a shots fired callout every 30 sec. (In my opinion)

    ·         Have suspect vehicles remain instead of being deleted right away, that we can search them later to see maybe why the ran in the first place.

    ·         Keep players vehicle running instead of shutting off every time we leave.

    ·         Ability to put on and take off armor by accessing the trunk of the vehicle

Well I think that’s about it, again in fully understand that some if not most of this may be impossible for the time being but I hope this helps you guys out and hope it captured some of what everyone else may be thinking.  In my opinion you guys have done and continue to do a terrific job please keep it up.

xDodox reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.2 Announcement + First Preview
Following on from the massive debut of LSPDFR on GTA V a mere two weeks ago, we're proud to announce the next installment in the series - LSPDFR 0.2 - featuring not only numerous enhancements and fixes, but also some highly requested features.
Indeed, while originally versioned as 0.1.1, the number of changes introduced in 0.2 seemed too significant to be represented by only a minor increment. LSPDFR 0.2 goes some way in adressing much of the feedback after the first public release and is our first response, pun most definitely intended, to thousands of the comments we've received since then through the forums, YouTube and social media.
From the electroshocking glory of stun guns, to a blast from the past with the LCPDFR style search areas and pursuit blipping, LSPDFR 0.2 packs a serious punch and is a major improvement from our first offering.

Asking for ID in traffic stops - one of the many suggestions that have made their way into LSPDFR 0.2.

For those of you familiar with LCPDFR 1.1, the lack of search areas and blips in LSPDFR pursuits might have been confusing.  Fear no more, however, as we've reintroduced the system with much the same aesthetic style as that of before.  There are, however, some notable improvements including the way in which each unit in the pursuit is now being uniquely marked on the game's map.  This means that the legend at the side of the map can be used to highlight each different type of police vehicle currently involved.
We'll have more to share regarding the features in LSPDFR 0.2 tomorrow, when we'll move away from the pursuits and action sequences, and take a look at how 0.2 brings about better support of routine police work - something I know a lot of people are looking for.

    Donations
After the release of LSPDFR (and even before it), we have been getting a lot of questions about donations, and how users can donate to the site.  For anyone who wishes to donate to our site, you may do so on this page.  We will never beg for donations, but we also want to ensure that anyone who wants to contribute to this site may do so.  Anything you donate will go straight toward helping this site - either by contributing to our hosting payments, our forum suite license fees, or any miscellaneous fees associated with site or LSPDFR development.  On behalf of everyone at G17 Media, I would like to thank all of those who have contributed in the past, and all those who contribute in the future.

    G17 Media Shirt Store
We have also been asked many, many times over the past few years if we'd ever consider selling LCPDFR/LSPDFR t-shirts, and we never had a clear answer to provide.  Now, however, I am happy to announce that we have created a store with a variety of LCPDFR and LSPDFR themed shirts.  With much appreciated help from @MichaelV, we have several high quality designs to choose from.  A small portion of each shirt's price is paid to us as a commission (roughly 15%), so this is a bit of a win-win - you can get a shirt you enjoy wearing, while also donating to the site at the same time.  The main point behind the store is to offer our fans products they'll enjoy - we aren't using it to make lots of money.  We encourage everyone to take advantage of our provider's generous return policy if there is ever an issue with your purchase.  Please also use this thread to let us know what you do and don't like (shop layout, products, prices, or anything else).  Our store provider offers very nice international shipping rates as well, so this store is not restricted to just our members in the US!  You can also filter by category (LCPDFR, LSPDFR, and Mugs), along with shirts for men or women.
Our shirt store can be found here.

IPS 4 brings with it a massive bunch of great new features and updates, including a much cleaner interface, awesome mobile and tablet support and many improvements in the general usage of the website and interaction with the community.

    Current Problems
Yes, a lot of things are broken and/or in the process of being reconstructed or fixed!
There will be many issues with community content as the upgrade process continues.  These problems are being fixed automatically. Unfortunately, due to the massive size of LCPDFR.com, rebuilding posts and data takes time. We estimate the automatic fixing will take at most one week. This is finished. There is a lot of functionality which is missing right now. We are working on resolving this as soon as possible. There are some issues with profiles - we're working on them! Fixed. The homepage is gone.  We'll be introducing a new one which is actually useful - meaning it includes more content from you, the community. LCPDFR Online Services are down. This includes linking your account, enhanced multiplayer and crime statistics. After the data reconstruction has finished, we'll work on bringing the service back online. Hello,

to address multiple questions regarding new features, please find some hints below:

    Checkpoint

Use LControl + B (default) to start. Aim at the car using the aim marker and keep aiming and then bring up the menu (left CAPSLOCK by default). A new option "Wave driver through" should appear and can be used to tell the currently selected driver to pass. You can also use another new command to tell him to stop. This is especially useful for cars behind the one you want to inspect in order to prevent them from overtaking when you arrest the driver in the car in front of them.

As for rotating, try holding down "CheckpointControlRotate" (default is LControlKey), this will allow you to rotate the vehicle. Also holding down LShift (hardcoded at the moment) will allow you more accurate placement.

    Available keys:

    Coffee

Hold down the key to sip - audio is very quiet and might only be heard in interiors.

    Disable coffee:

    Liveries

1.0c contains support for more than 4 liveries per vehicle ('>), simply add the textures to the .wtd file. Thanks especially to cp702 for his help.

xDodox reacted to Sam in LCPDFR 1.0c Hotfix
We've released a hotfix which brings with it some small stability enhancements and fixes as well as some highly requested features.  The hotfix, LCPDFR 1.0c is now the third patch for LCPDFR 1.0.

Along with bringing to the table a more stable experience, LCPDFR 1.0c comes packing a punch as far as features are concerned too.  Since time immemorial, the ability to control traffic has been long sought after in LCPDFR.  LCPDFR 1.0c now introduces the ability to set up a checkpoint with a patrol car on any road which you can then use to control the flow of traffic passing through.

As well as this, we made a big mistake when we rewrote LCPDFR for 1.0c when we forgot to convert over the old feature of drinking coffee.  Again, this is something that has been widely requested and sure enough, you can now indulge in a caffeine hit while protecting the streets of Liberty City.  Not only that, however, but the whole process is more interactive in that you now hold a key to drink.  As an added bonus, there's even a nice drinking sound effect to go with it.

LCPDFR 1.0c is also good news for the people that like to develop with our API.  There's now a bunch of new features and classes available to you allowing you control over nifty things like arrow checkpoints and blips, as well as some access to LCPDFR's internal ped data.

As always, please report any problems to us in the LCPDFR support section.  Enjoy!

Listed below is some of the more commonly used default controls for LCPDFR 1.0, along with a short description.

ALT + P / START AND STOP LCPDFR

Use this to start and stop LCPDFR.

    ALT + B / REQUEST BACKUP

This will call for a LCPD unit to assist you.

    ALT + N / REQUEST SWAT BACKUP

This will call for a NOOSE Tactical Response unit to assist you.

CTRL + N / REQUEST HELICOPTER ASSISTANCE IN PURSUIT

This will call for a LCPD helicopter (when lethal force is unauthorized), or a NOOSE Annihilator (when lethal force is authorized) to assist you in a pursuit.

    CTRL + M / REQUEST AMBULANCE

This will call for an ambulance to be dispatched to your location.  It generally only works if there are dead peds near you.

    CTRL + F / REQUEST FIRETRUCK

This will call for a fire truck to be dispatched to your location.  It will extinguish any nearby fires.

ALT + E / CALL IN EVENT, UPDATE STATUS, ETC.

If you get attacked by someone, or someone runs you over, or someone starts shooting nearby, you can use ALT + E to call this into dispatch.

T / DRAW AND HOLSTER TASER

This will draw or holster your Taser.  It needs to be pressed twice for the first time.

CAPSLOCK / OPEN QUICK ACTION MENU (QAM)

Holding this will open the Quick Action Menu

    ALT / FAST WALK

Holding ALT while walking will result in you walking faster (if using a 'fit' cop ped).  This also brings up the LCPDFR Aiming Marker, which you can tell your partner to go places with (use the QAM)

E / OPENING DOORS, TRUNKS, INTERACTING WITH VARIOUS THINGS

The E key is used quite a lot.  You can use it to open the rear doors of your last vehicle (it must be the last car you were in), and you can also use it to search trunks, get weapons from police car trunks, join ambient pursuits (hold it down), etc.

    F8 / PURSUIT TACTICS MENU

When in an active pursuit, you can press F8 to bring up the pursuit tactics menu.  This allows you to authorize and unauthorize lethal force, etc.  Use the arrow keys to select an option and Return to confirm.

    SHIFT / TRAFFIC STOP

You can press shift when behind a vehicle, in a police car, to attempt to pull it over.
