New EMS Mod by Mordecki Trailer 3

Featured Replies

Will you be able to respond in a fire unit, like a fire engine, ladder truck or rescue to assist with EMS? That is something I dislike about the FDLC mod is you have to be in an ambulance. Most fire departments respond along with EMS on all medical calls.

  • How is this mod even close to dead? The creator (Mordekci) updated his site, posts on his site regularly about how he's trying to find time to work on it, just recently uploaded a video showing the CP

  • Sure, some update has arrived :D

  • It took LCPDFR 4.5 years to have a full release (1.0). Anything before that was alpha/beta. I'm pretty sure they're trying to go for a full release with this mod.   Plus that progress page I linked

Are you considering doing a more "american english" version? What i mean by that is how it says "prio 1" which im assuming is european english for responding emergent, where is america it would be called "code 3" (in most places)

You know, in Europe there are so many different names for that. Even Germany and Austria which share one language have different terms for emergency responses. Prio 1 seemed like something americans and europeans would understand as it stands for the highest priority. "Prio 1" is a compromise that hopefully is understandable for US citizens as well as for all the different languages in europe.

But maybe someday when the mod is really finished, that means out of beta, Mordecki will deal with that, but there are a lot more differences between the medical systems than just this term, so that might take a while ;)

You could replace the ambulance by a fire unit, but unfortunately the mod does not support fire department calls as the mod is purely based on EMS and their work.

That is what I meant, 95% of all fire department calls are now EMS related. Most call dispatches sounds like this, "Engine 41 Medic 26, Difficulty breathing, 1234 N main street cross of 1st and 2nd streets. Units respond on Med7"

If its not possible it is fine but what I meant was send fire units on ems calls, not fire units on fire calls.

I understand that. I work in EMS so i had to ask haha. If you ever do decide to do a more american version, let me know and i can help with the american "language" conversion

I would like to take a moment and recognize a former member, Anti... and prove to everyone that he lost... and Mordecki wins!

Awesome job! Looks really nice and crisp.

Everything needs more lights.

Sarcasm aside, any idea on the stability of this in multi-player?

That has yet to be tested. Currently, the main goal is to provide a stable version for singleplayer and hopefully that version will do equally fine in multiplayer

I approve.

This is the best modification for GTA IV I have seen so far.

Could you maybe give us an approximate release date?

Like, Fall 2013?

their are stuff that have to be fixed. When his team feel like it is ready, it will be released

I actually heard someone say "Priority 4" on a scanner for Dutchess County Fire and EMS (Dutchess County, NY, USA), so it is actually used in America.

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

Just stick on working on it for single player. If you try to make it multiplayer accessible, that will take a lot more time. When ready, release it with the single player version, then make a multiplayer friendly one (V2)

I'm trying to make a stable script right now, multiplayer and other stuff like conversion to American system will have to wait a little more.

I could do all at once, but i don't think anyone would like to wait SO LONG just for release, i'm the only person scripting it and believe me

even the smallest thing takes hours to be done if you consider all checks which will prevent game to crash if anything goes wrong way.

I'm getting very motivated by reading all this comments, first beta release will just be beginning !

After first beta release you can expect much updates, this way you can play EMS MOD as it is and get it updated with new features

later on so you won't have to wait until everything is done to play it.

I'm doing my best to get it quickly done, but it does take it's time to be done
