I just have a question about how 0.95 BETA is reacting on other peoples computers so I know whether it's just my computer experiencing the problems or it's the BETA. I am in no way asking for help with solving the problem. But if for some reason this topic is a problem I understand if it gets locked, and apologize in advance.

My question is, are other people experiencing a problem where the game crashes after a random event is "spawned" or about 30 seconds after a pursuit has started?

I've had this problem, however it seems to be random for me. Like for instance I've been playing for 3 and a half hours straight, other times, it will crash on starting the game, or shortly after.

I've worked out that if I only use LCPDFR it works for a lot longer usually, however ELS is a must for me so I put up with the crashing and load straight back in.

It can also crash more if you are using custom car models (for whatever reason GTAIV doesn't like spawning them often).

I hope this helps you narrow down your crashing. Enjoy the mod, I know I do.

There are some wide-ranging issues with 0.95. I crashed after requesting NOOSE backup. Downgrade to 0.91 for a more stable version.

No, I've never had an issue with that, although I've heard some complaints about this before from others. A fix will probably be ready by the time of final release. I'm guessing what xGessx said was correct, and that it's CPU intensive due to the fact that it has to spawn multiple AI police cars, possibly a copter if the chase is bad enough, a crazy AI driver potentially with an AI partner wielding a gun, plus the officers have the ability to call for backup themselves (or so I assume, since random NOOSE units will show up without my asking, not complaining about that feature though). And that doesn't even figure in things like higher polygon count car mods that put more strain on the CPU and GPU, as well as ELS, ENB or any other after-market crap if you happen to have any of those things enabled. I run everything I mentioned short of ENB and I don't have issues, but I blew between $1,200 - $1,400 on my system a couple of years ago, so it was built with the intention to run most games at max settings for the next 3-4 years. Not everyone buys that kind of hardware, especially for those of you that aren't in control of the household budget. :whistling:

This lol. If i had control of the budget I would have a monster by now lol. Well I kinda do... It's just that my GPU is kinda bad.

Yeah I get those random CTDs too, but usually I can play 3+ hours with no issues at all. Noose air support even works 90% of the time. IMO, this 0.95 even as a beta is more stable than 0.91 was. I don't know if it was just my computer or not, but 0.91 would cause a massive memory leak after putting an arrested suspect into the car, .95 seems to have no issue with that.

For me, the mod will crash the very instant that a world event is spawned (a random car that other officers were engaged with, but not me). It crashes right away, but it's nothing a little console + debug + testing menu can't fix haha. Just part of the beta experience; that's one reason I always download beta versions of Linux too....

Just out of curiosity.... Didn't Sam publish, in his announcement, that 0.95 shouldn't be discussed in any other website or thread, besides the "Take 2 Announcement" thread?

Come one guys. It's still a beta and they have bug's. If you want to play without majorbugs, then downgrade to 0.91.

Understood. Although, it was my impression that we weren't complaining about the bugs at all, but maybe that's just how I saw it.... I couldn't care less if it's bugged.

EDIT: This should REALLY not be in the support section, either......

Just for information (not complaining), I have the exact same issue. Game will crash to desktop just after a WorldEvent has spawned, but after putting the white dot on the map. And the game will hang and then CTD after a short duration in a pursuit or randomly in gameplay.

Oddly enough, if I don't visit a police station to go on duty, but rather load the game, ALT+P, ALT+F12 and then force world event, then it doesn't crash, and the suspect drives around (alone) for ages. But the mod ceases to work entirely (no mod-keys respond). I also got the error message Error in Script : Csharp.engine.core after doing the above. I uninstalled TrafficFlow mod because I thought the issue was caused because LCPDFR tried to spawn e.g. a Taxi, and the taxi then got deleted by the TrafficFlow mod, but even without it, the problem persists. Probably one game launch in 10 works perfectly though, with the game running for hours, even with world events happening.

My specs are 6 GB DDR3 RAM, Intel Core i7 920, nVidia 9800GT. I'm not sure about the CPU-intensiveness, in my opinion my CPU shouldn't have a problem with spawning a few AIs :)

I think the mod is awesome, but the police station bit is a bit time consuming (loading several times), especially when the mod crashes alot. I would hope that in the release, you go to the room to go on duty, then [loading], select character and vehicle and then appear outside (which loaded to allow the spawns). A bit less realistic, but alot faster. :) Also it would be awesome to be able to save the game when on duty, and thus be able to resume on duty right away. I tried saving, but when loading I'm off duty :) The mod is amazing though, it's so much like the real thing :)

Break, I clearly stated I wasn't complaining, and the thread subtitle says it's not a support request. Granted - it's not in the right forum section, which I can do nothing about, but in my opinion, there's a difference between sharing ones experience with fellow users, as opposed to requesting support for an unfinished product - the latter of which I wouldn't do.

I was personally happy to see this thread, simply because it's nice to find out "is it just me?" - e.g. have I installed something incorrectly - or if there is a common issue, that I can then rest asure that the competent alpha testers have already passed on to developers. I wouldn't be surprised if it's hard to fix though, it seems to happen at very random, sometimes the mod runs for an hour, and you join several pursuits, and in other instances, the first sign of a worldevent causes a seizure with the game. :)

And yes, I have read the Beta notice, the Beta thread, the announcement and the disclaimer.

I see now what you and Break mean. As I read Sam' post first, I understood it as the discussions shouldn't take place at other websites ; i.e. he didn't want to spread bad PR about the mod being bugged from people who might fail to mention that it's an open Beta they are complaining about - which to me sounded like a fair request. I did not think he would mind a debate about the version though - after all, he could draw some experience from reading it. I re-read the announcement now, and I see your point.

My apologies, I will refrain from discussing the mod further untill it's allowed.

Video card is a bit weak by today's standards. It was pretty good when GTA IV came out, but depend on how high you have the details turned up, Rockstar Games claimed that the high details setting was for "hardware that doesn't exist yet". Check how much texture memory is being used.
