  • I think before anybody get's ANY help, they should probably read the files that come with the mod.

  • One thing to make sure you do is save the config file for lights as an All Files Type. Add .ini to the end.   For example, ELS7 worked fine for me with the raw form. I went to edit the config file

Have you read the read me. Make sure you have all the files in the GTAIV Directory. ELS Folder, ELS.ASI, ELS.INI. Also don't forget to turn the cars from off to on in the ELS.INI.

Ctrl+Backspace turns express mode off. If you have the files placed right you just use CTRL+M to open the ELS menu in game. All of the controls are in the User Guide.

Add .ini to the end.

For example, ELS7 worked fine for me with the raw form.

I went to edit the config file creating car1 car2 and car3 for three different types of lights(All led, one all red, one all blue, one red and blue)

Els DID NOT WORK.

About 45 minutes and a lot of frustration later, I realized it was my fault.

I was saving these documents as .txt files. ELS would not recognize them causing ELS to not work.

So I recreated them saving them as all files types with the extension .ini and guess what? It worked.

And works GREAT!!!

im having the same prob, i am not a noob either, i put all files where needed, turned everything on. and the only thing that works is siren and if i press ctrl backspace it says expressmode enabled or if i press it again it says expressmode disabled, my ctrl m will not make anything pop up and i have yet to see the lights flash once!!!

Mine is not working at all. I copied everything as told, turned all "off's" to "on" (without quotes). Everything is up to date, I am using TBoGT. I removed all other mods to remove any double key assignments. I am aware that Alt+M on V6 is now Ctrl+M on V7 and I have read the whole Read Me document.

Someone Please Help!

Reinstall it and follow the instructions in the guide. ELSv7 works, if you can't get it to work, you're doing something wrong.

Like I said in other topics as well, I think ELS v7 is incompatible with Windows XP. I too have installed and set up everything correctly and read through the entire PDF but it still doesn't work. Could a tester or a developer confirm that it is Windows XP that is causing ELS v7 not to work?

"Dura lex, sed lex"

it's CTRL+M in ELSv7.

I know but ALT+M works for me that displays the info panel and i havent changed the settings so people should try it

Then you're not using ELSv7.

I am do u want a screenshot? I can prove im using it if u want but ALT+M does work for me and so does CTRL+M

Ok guys mine keeps crashing, I have had to reinstall LCPDFR and uploaded all scripts and car back but when I try to get the lights and siren to work it crashes.... Ive backed up the game files so I can delete any files with issues and start from scratch but I have a feeling I am missing a file to keep my game from crashing. Last month I had no issues playing until I added ELS V7 and a new line up of vehicles (all ELS enabled).
