oh, and about police cruiser's computer. seem like i only able to connect but only access backup request and Search suspect name only. am i doing something wrong? or press the wrong key?

There are several mods you could try that will accentuate and supplement LCPDFR.  I would consider these a must have:

Vdh Police Helper

Vdh Coroner Mod

Braveheart Police Script

Vdh Tow Script

Dashcam or PSS Radar Script

ELS v5 or v6 (not a script...installs into main directory)

Just unzip the scripts into your scripts folder.

Then you have all the car mods that you can choose from.

Good luck!

i saw two program so call "mod manager" openIV and SparkIV, what so different from these two?

@_@ sorry, i'm very bad on technique stuff, it keep my head spin like tornado @_@

so terrifying to mod the skin and all

Edited by Shella

I like SparkIV, as it's easy to use when you import the modded cars and peds.  I use OpenIV when updating car textures (when no car is included with the texture) or sound upgardes...I don't use OpenIV too often, but I do use SparkIV almost daily.

I personally prefer OpenIV to SparkIV, there is no real difference between them, only thing is that you cannot mod your sirens with openIV, you need SparkIV for that.

About the police computer, that's normal, LCPDFR uses another interface than the original provided by Rockstar.

For OpenIV / SparkIV, I prefer Spark for daily use, but when I need something more specific and powerful I use Open.

Just try both, you'll know which one you prefer, as the other said they are quite similar after all.

Don't be terrified, remember to make backups and everything will be ok, if you do something wrong it will just crash the game or alterate some datas, your computer won't explode ^^

edit : mods that I use, if it can help

I've had no problems adding new sirens via SparkIV so far anyway. = HORNS.invaud file

edit: Thought you mentioned SparkIV as bad for sirens but either way lol

the layout is different between the two and for me I find sparkIV's layout easier to navigate

Ah yes, APB Reloaded, I RP'ed as a cop there too.

There are some pretty good female cop mods on LCPDFR too, I haven't tried myself though, maybe I should :)

Work fine and all, but why i can't spawn myself as female cop?? O_O

P.S: i'm REFUSE to use trainer

question: why i didn't get callout, I didn't disable it either F7 key busy mode is Off.

Edited by Shella

I find the trainer more useful, to spawn as a female cop ensure that you have the mod installed, there is a good one from Sam here on LCPD:FR.

You can always force a event by pressing CTRL + F11 (or ALT + F11 it's been a while)

Going in to the police station actually causes more instablility, I prefer to ALT + P then trainer to set my skin then CTRL + P to force myself on duty and I don't have much problem. Another tip is don't take every call out.

If your having problems with the trainers key open up the .ini file and CTRL + F to open the find box, then look for KeyBindingsDisabled and set it to 1. This will stop the trainer spawning a ton of crap from normal buttons.

sorry to bump the post, current issue, Traffic Jam! cause by EMS, abandon squad car, abandon taxi or cars after the shootout and ambulance as u saw the video beta i make, even i call tow truck and it cause even worst, any remedies? XD

To get a roadblock, you press escape to go to the map and set a waypoint by clicking on the location where you want to block to be set up. and then it should, in theory, be there when you get to the waypoint

only thing is that you cannot mod your sirens with openIV, you need SparkIV for that.

You can do that by renaming the file to not have the extension (I think lol) Anyway I prefer OpenIV from when I discovered you can just replace mods by dragging them in xD (Props to Abraxas for his K9 tutorial video that made me notice that!) Since SparkIV is much slower & "static". :|

If you want my attention, quote me.
