Police Force 2 - Who's Interested?

Featured Replies

Today I received a copy of Police Force 2 from Excalibur Publishing. It was meant to be released last month, in time for easter and got delayed. The game is now scheduled to be retailed later this month but luckily for me I have a finished copy and it arrived this morning.

Who is interested in seeing a video of it in action? if so I will record one for about 10 minutes or so.

Well... Reading the comments above and after watching the trailer.. It seems to be pretty horrible

I don't see any difference between the first version and this one. But anyway, the game wasn't really entertaining to me. Pretty boring, if you ask me.

Some pictures I shot in the Game:

Suspects are stupid as trees; He's running straight towards me!

And police officers are bigger than normal doors.

Crashmodel of the cars(Only in "Missions" otherwise no damage model.)

I think I will record some videos with the game and then I will give it someone who I hate.

Ha, yeah.

The above screenshots and such are not from a finished product according to someone at Excalibur Publishing. Also there is new things such as a breathalyser which wasnt in the first game and also a science lab where you can take evidence and what not.

You cant really blame Excalibur Publishing for this game.

I'll be honest, it just looks like they ripped from Emergency 4 and put it into something made by the Unity Engine.

Proof

  • Mission completion sound is ripped from Emergency 4
  • Callout sound is ripped from Emergency 4
  • Ambulance & Paramedic models ripped from Emergency 4

There's probably tons more that I've missed. This wasn't made by the same people who made Emergency 4. Sixteen Tons Entertainment had nothing to do with this and to be honest could claim copyright on everything used in this game unless the models and sounds are open source material which I highly doubt.

Furthermore, it just looks horribly built. The controls are awful, the AI are incredibly stupid and the graphics are horrendous. Gameplay isn't much better. You head to one area, complete a basic call and then head to another area.

I haven't even played the game, but I've seen enough to say that there is no way this game is worth even 50p let alone £25.

Someone will probably say "You do better" but to be honest with you, I probably could.

There was another game that was like this, except it was a rip off of the EMS portion of EM4, so it's very likely and i would agree.

I played this (police force 1 that is) game for 6 1/2 minutes before going in a corner crying for a little bit, then coming back and uninstalling it and throwing my computer out the window into a lake of fire.

no offense to people that live in the uk but I despise the checkerboard cars...if only they made this game in the us

Would still be terrible if it was set up like this, maybe a little better but not enough...
